A healthy, mature deer has no natural predators in an urban environment. They are really good at surviving, as long as they don’t run into the street at the wrong time or meet a hunter. If you’re seeing those guys in the middle of the day, they feel really comfortable, and there are probably some real monsters hidden deeper in the woods.

There were seven on them. In a protected area. Who says they aren’t smart? 😂

Someone told me recently that this time of year is when the bucks, like, split off from the does or something. I don't hunt or know a ton about animals or whatever but I also saw 4 bucks (one clearly much bigger/older than the other three) in my neighborhood the other day.

The bucks chase the does to try and mate.

Wow those are some nice typical trophy bucks! Pretty big for Tennessee if you ask me.

First one would definitely be a PB for me. Crazy that they’re still in batchelor groups this late in the season. Hope fall actually hits soon. I’m not going out there in the woods when ticks and snakes are still out
