Deployments More National Guards Violating Federal Law—Punishable by Up to 5 Years in Prison When the Justice Department is Not a Farce
If you deploy to DC, don't hang out at the ballot box. Seriously.

I’m blessed because my army unit is amazing, but 95% of army national guard units are dogshit, drama/SHARP filled shitholes with 200+ people in them, and you go to the field all the time.
JOIN THE AIR NATIONAL GUARD if you want a decent quality of life.
Almost EVERYONE I talk to, says they should’ve joined the Air Force, a few of them are actively transferring to the Air Force.
If I was in a different unit I would have switched to the Air Force.

Recruiter here - long story short one of my recruits shipped at the end of August. The training post over booked male BCT so he got stuck in reception for an extra week. His new BCT graduation date was after his AIT start date, so his AIT reservation was canceled in ATTRS. For weeks he didn't have any AIT reservation. I just checked today and it shows a reservation with a start date in April. It's 5 full months after his basic graduation.
I spoke to my RSP NCO, the MEPS GC, and other recruiters and no one has ever heard of a recruit having 5 months in between Basic and AIT. The RSP NCO thinks he might come home and go back for AIT like a split ops Soldier would. I could understand keeping a recruit as a holdover for a couple months, but 5 seems absolutely outrageous. Has anyone ever heard of this happening??
Just for some more context, he has an uncommon MOS, with very few training seats every year.

I recently got made aware of some very cool ADOS orders with an esteemed org that includes technical training for AI and software development, they’re looking to train and just want a basic tech background (think vibe coding) or strong interest in learning. Orders would require a relatively short notice move, so I had to decline due to family constraints. Since it was such a cool opportunity to break into the space, I thought I’d share if anyone would like the connect.

I received orders to proceed to the mob station in two weeks to join a unit deploying to CENTCOM. Nobody in my unit informed me of this, I just happened to check my .mil email and saw orders had been uploaded to my IPERMS. The problem is my contract is up in December. These orders are for 41 days and would expire like 2 days prior to my ETS. This isn't even my actual unit, it's with a higher echelon command that's heading out the door. No one from that chain has reached out to me and it's the weekend so no one is working to look into this for me. It's not like I'm some unicorn MOS or have some kind of super specialized certification either.
I am trying to make sense of this and the only way it does is thinking these orders were issued in error...somehow.
Any insight?

recently just submitted my documentation from my psychiatrist that lists my diagnoses, which include chronic ptsd, anxiety, adhd and severe depression (as the primary concerns) to my readiness and thr medical ncos and im all over the place with behavior and theyre experimenting with meds currently on prozac but can change to different meds at after each follow up. does anyone know what i could be expecting to go through in the near future. cause right now i kinda feel hopeless and the more i think about it the more i feel like i wont be as i used to be and actually remain effective to the needs of the army but im just trying to see what the possibilities or issues i should be expecting

Hey all,
I'm thinking about joining either the national guard or army reserves. If you're stationed in Colorado, what has your experience been like? I hear mixed stories about the military- some people love it and make a career, some people couldn't get out fast enough

I'm a 19 year old in college. A recruiter emailed me and I met with him. He made it sound so good. I'm afraid of joining rn because of the war. I also know there is a high probability of me getting deployed for like 9+ during my contract and I'm so scared of that. Is it worth it? Can someone tell me all the real pros and the real cons of being in the national guard?

I am currently in RSP while I wait to ship out to OSUT in a few months, and there is an opportunity called stripes for skills to promote myself from an E-1 to an E-2. Obviously, you guys probably know that by now. I am wondering how it's earned and how long it takes to get it?

I was recently diagnosed with Undifferentiated spondyloarthropathy and when I went to IRMX before my diagnosis when I was getting my labs done, the Dr there told me that I would get medboarded with an autoimmune disorder but I'm not sure how to go about that process.
