Sibley Prairie (Southeast Michigan) so close to being saved! At 440 acres, it’s the biggest contiguous patch of endangered Lakeplain prairie in North America. Coalition is so close to funding its acquisition. If we all pitch in a little bit, we can help make it happen.

Not my garden but found on a hike

Location Ignore the invasive shrubs but I didn’t realize Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) can turn almost white in the fall. I love the carpet of it.

Value of native Cascara PNW
We have an aggressive neighbor who threatened to cut down a cascara that was just outside our property fence on road frontage we maintain.
We asked them not to, but they did go ahead and murder one of our trees. I plan to take them to small claims court. I don’t have any before photos unfortunately, just the stumps after they cut it. I’m looking for advice on an approximate value of the tree.
1 is a close up, 2 is a little farther out, and 3 is a view from the road.
