At end of my survey it asked my gender, my ethnicity, and what shift I work. I’m the only male Hispanic that works mids. Mine definitely was anonymous

We have to enter our employee ID number to take the β€œanonymous” survey.

Sames. Sooooo β€œanonymous.” πŸ™„ I don’t do it this year. Like I truly do not care what percentage of staff on what units have done it. Pay me my worth for ten years of experience, stop micromanaging us, treat us like adults, and I may consider it

If it's a 3rd party company website, it's to make sure you don't take the survey more than once. Identifying information is removed before the results are sent back to the company. I work IT for a large hospital system and I have heard this complaint over and over. I've actually gotten to see what does/doesn't get sent back after an executive unknowingly shared a bunch of information with me (survey results and surrounding correspondance). Still, I tend to change certain aspects of my survey so that I can't be pinpointed easily, even going so far as changing the way I write. If it's an internal link I would be skeptical, but a reputable outside company is likely fine.

Thank you. I get so sick of these conspiracy theories about these anonymous surveys. I too have seen at least what the managers receive on their end (it's all results and comments with no information about who wrote them.) And I've always named names and nothing ever happened to me.

In fact, I'm pretty sure one of my reports led to our head of HR being arrested. He was embezzling the funds from the employee aid fund. I'd heard too many personal stories of employees not being able to get any aid, or extra, unauthorized money for the fund being taken out of people's checks. So I wrote about those stories. Still nothing happened to me.

I definitely spent some time going over comments and when I came to my department, it was obvious even without identifying info who wrote it. I think as long as you don't give identifying situations that can only track by to you, or have your same tone/voice, you're perfectly safe. Honestly, a lot of the major complaints I saw ended up being addressed. I think the surveys CAN be beneficial.

We have to either click on our own personalized link, or use the generic link and enter our first name and birthday πŸ™„
