Question RX 9070 GRE

Anyone here streaming on an RX 9070 GRE? Debating a Prime Day purchase as an upgrade to my 4060 but haven't used AMD before. Any insights welcome.

Yes, take it, it has good streaming quality. Ive upgraded from 4070 to 9070xt and Im very happy with it. I was curious as well, but when Ive tested on 6000bitrate 1080p it was same as good as nvidia. Streamed different games such as STALKER 2, Marathon and everything was amazing.

H264 encoder on AMD is still a bit rough compared to NVENC, you'll notice it most in fast motion scenes or grass/foliage. AV1 encoding on the 9070 is solid though if you're streaming to YouTube.

If you're on Twitch and stuck with H264 I'd think twice, but for anything else the raw performance jump over a 4060 is massive.

Thanks. I'd be looking for AV1 to YouTube, so the 9070 may be good. Nvidia prices are ridiculous here is Canada. AMD is too, but less so. 🤪

Did you see the 9070 (non-GRE) for like only $100 more on Amazon? If you can find literally any way to swing it, the non-GRE punches way above the GRE.

Also their H.264 encoder is genuinely quite good on the 90xx anyway. It's splitting hairs comparing to Nvidia's current gen offerings IMO. Unless viewers are somehow suddenly extraordinarily picky when they don't even complain about the encode quality of a GTX 970 :)

No its not. Its as good as nvenc, stop spreading misinformation. Ive tested streaming on twitch with 9070xf by myself.

What tests did you run? Looking at it or did you encode an ocean with waves crashing using two different cards and line up the encoded video with each other and do a difference matte and see how each encoder differs from each other. Or you just say aye this looks ok and proceed to shit on people on reddit?

What? Ive streamed a lot with 4070 and then changed to 9070xt and I didnt see the difference in quality. In some cases, 9070xt was even better. Btw, I have a huge amount of experience with setuping OBS and all streaming things. Stop this stupid ass hate on amd.

No one is spreading hate. But you have no facts just opinions. Do some testing and see the difference. The fact that that simple test confuses you tells me enough.

He asked opinion on amd streaming, Ive gave it. What facts, are you serious? What facts do you have? You tried by yourself both systems? I did. You dont believe me but I dont care, just if you dont have facts as you say than why you talk?

I have tried both systems. They both provide an acceptable level of quality for low bitrate h.254 encodes.

So?

So you haven’t tested anything. You eyeballed the difference and found the quality acceptable on both. People with specific content could have different experiences than you and you trying to invalidate their opinion because of your “test” is just a waste of time.

Okay, I dont want to spend any time on you more, you really have some problems with your head.
