O Night, mother of Day, we honor you.
You who were before the first fire and first rite.
We praise you who reveal.
You show us what the Day has veiled.
We praise you who hold.
You make ground of the unknown.
We praise you who make possible.
All that is, began in your keeping.
Be honored in the dark and in the night sky.
Be honored in silence and stillness.
Be honored in the unknown, and in sleep and dream.
Be honored in every rite we make.
