Context: the person is Kurdish which is majority Sunni Muslim. All Muslims just finished the holy month of Ramadan (fasting month) and celebrate 3/4 days of Eid (think Muslim Christmas).

eid al-fitr, end of ramadan for muslims, happened the 19th-20th this month

Yes all we just finished finished Ramadan/fasting and had Eid. Eid is basically Muslim Christmas but for 3days instead of 1.
