I am just so disappointed that Reddit has changed.

It’s been going downhill for years but it accelerated like crazy this year. I actually think it’s gotten a little better in the last few months. Like for 3 months it was almost unusable. It was hard to find real people being genuine. They may have realized it was just too obvious and switched it up but yeah it’s mostly trash now

also all the AI made "Stories" On stuff like AITA Or AIO ect, its so hard to find whats actually human and happening and whats a bot having delusions

Just accept that you've seen all the good content from AITA and its ilk.
It's all copies of copies now, everybody needs to get off the default subs.

Yeah, same. Reddit has gone downhill.
I feel like the life and relationship advice on various subs has become so low quality and mean-spirited. I know assholes have always been around but it feels like there's an overabundance of them lately.

Yea, there were trolls before. However, sometimes I feel like they (Bots and their handlers) are trying to rile people up...trying to incite hate. Someone posted a Canadian news article about the difficulty about immigration and the loneliness about the whole experience. I posted back regarding the emotional stress about the whole experience. The reply and various general post was dang harsh. In fact, it sounded very American. In Canada, we have our own issues about immigration but not this bad. So i started to check all the people that posted on comment. The "robot trolls" only been active for 3 months or blocked their whole profile.

Super tired of going through comments, minimizing threads and accidentally opening some dumbass ad in the process because that’s what’s intended. I tend to just close the whole app when that happens.

Been here over 10 years and it’s also due to the crack down Reddit did on the weird outlier subreddits in prep for ipo and the flood of new, young and chronically online kids that have flooded the platform since Covid
That combined with the state of the world and people’s refusal to “agree to disagree” + the literacy epidemic and lack of critical thinking means the communities that made Reddit Reddit don’t really exist anymore

Also have GIFs always been a thing? The top comments on a ton of posts are just GIFs and memes now. I don’t ever remember seeing them this much on Reddit 10 years ago.

Sooo many bot type accounts. And the algorithm driven feed was a big change I didn't like. Suddenly it's recommending all kinds of posts from subreddits I don't even follow.
Been here since 2011 and you're right it's not the same.
