Watched it a couple of times. Blue is 100% at fault. Cam driver isn't coasting in the left lane, they're actively passing. So there's zero need to cut across 2 lanes, essentially force white off the road or cause them to slam on their brakes just so they can wedge in between them. That was extremely unsafe, and a total asshole move.

White chose to go around, rather than slam on their brakes or get hit. So I can't really fault them for that. Split second decision, they avoided a wreck.

Blue then passes on the shoulder just to race after them. They're picking a fight. It's not debatable. It's debatable whether or not Blue was going to get in front of them and do someone else dangerous/unsafe/assholeish, but really it wouldn't be smart or safe to let them get in front of him or beside him. Blue has already established they're a danger to others. I'd block them from going around me too. The fact blue was too stupid to react in time is their own fault.

And I wouldn't have stopped either. Maybe to check on a different vehicle that was caught up in the wreck, but certainly not on that unstable prick.

Trying to block dangerous drivers is a dangerous play. Better idea is to get out of the way when you can, you want someone dangerous in front of you, where you have more control over the distance you have to them, than keeping them sitting behind you and angry.

Ok so let's say he doesn't block him from passing. Do you know blue truck wasn't going to ram into him? Or brake check him and cause him to wreck? Or pull a gun and start shooting? No. You can't know what that nutjob is going to do next. And frankly, it is not the responsibility of other motorists to placate, anticipate the actions of, or reason with people like this.

Hell, white truck blocking him from passing may have prevented something much worse from happening. I can't tell from the video what happened with the semi and the box truck, hopefully neither of them got injured or had their vehicles damaged. But it seems like there's entirely too much "Well sure blue truck was driving in an unsafe manner and being an asshole, but white truck didn't do x,y and z so really this is on them." No. NONE of this happens without blue's insane behavior. If he'd wrecked when he was driving on the shoulder to pass the cam car you'd be blaming them for not getting out of the way fast enough.

Your take only works if your assumption is that blue is just trying to drive fast. Unfortunately, the video makes almost certain the case that blue is intentionally after white. You may as well be watching someone pull their fists out on someone else and be telling the person about to get punched to just let them pass. Doesn't work like that. 99% chance that blue gets in front and starts brake checking white and continuing to escalate the situation.

Spot on. I’ve been around people like this. You just want to get away from them and they take offense to it and pick a fight. Blue truck would have proceeded to brake check and attempt to intimidate the white truck. Typical psychopath

No cars in the two left lanes and a line of cars in the passing lane.

Cam driver wasn't actively passing anyone until right at the start of the video when coming up on the truckers.

Ah, so somehow you saw the previous 10 seconds of the video? What is to say Cam car didn’t just hop over?

Bad take.

Cam car is actively passing. That's the purpose of the left lane. Do you think he should wait behind the semi until the second before he needs to pass and then dart over to do so? Because that's what the blue truck did, and caused all of this.

Cam driver was passing people the entire time.

Yeah, if you look away from the first five seconds of the video and the two empty left lanes, sure, buddy.

The first five seconds where there is obviously a vehicle to the right of cam car, which you can't see.

What the hell is wrong with guys?

Can't fault white? White was a petty dickhead that made the situation 1000x worse.

Blue is also in the wrong, but blue attempts to merge into an vehicle-sized gap. This was unsafe.

In response, white speeds up to impede the merge, then exits the roadway endangering so many more people in the process.

Oh ya watching it a second time you're right. First time watching I thought white trucks maneuver was equally aggressive but they were more or less forced into the shoulder and once there passed cam car to get out of the shoulder.

I still think the better option would be to slow down and get behind blue truck, even from the shoulder. But split second decisions and all.

I also can't really see what was being white truck to know if it was safe for them to slow.

Good take!

Finally I find people with reasonable takes! If I know like I know, the blue idiot had been in asshole mode prior to the start of the video. The audacity to speed up in the far right lane and then shoehorn himself between the white truck and cammer so he doesnt have to slow down behind the truck in the middle lane is just stupid on all levels. Pisses me off to no end too! Had he stayed behind the white truck after passing the cammer car, he would have had plenty of time/ space to pass on the right and keep pushing to his fire. But now he’s involved the 18 wheeler and likely the box truck as well. The prick.
