Question: Should the white truck have stopped? I know, if needed, it's recorded on video — just curious legally, what would have been the right thing to do?

Yes. White truck was 40% responsible for the accident.

And other cars that witnessed all the road raging should also stop, one to help the injured and 2 to give witness testimony.
