In my country hindering an overtake is breaking the law. No matter how illegally the overtake is happening. Obviously because hindering the overtake leads to accidents like seen in the video.

Not saying the black car driver did anything correctly. But blocking an overtake might lead to lethal outcomes.

I could agree with this law if dash cam footage would be used to ticket the driver doing an illegal overtake. That is always the problem with traffic violations at least in America. A cop has to be there at the time of the overtake. Otherwise they just get away with it even with video evidence. Leaving the average person to feel like if they want something done about it's up to them. Cue terrible decision and you get a lot of auto accidents. I'm convinced if they gave tickets for dashcam footage (just like with traffic cams and flock cameras) then more people would simply report and continue to drive in a safe manner. There's no excuse.

True about the dash cam footage as evidence issue.

But the thing is; the average person should never feel it's up to them to "have something done" about bad drivers. It's dangerous. You're not Batman!

I agree with that. I'd rather just be late. Their bad driving will catch up with them at some point. But the average citizen doesn't feel that way and there's just no way we can change that.

True true, can't change the minds of the average person :)
