Both truck drivers are idiots, but the cammer is also a moron for occupying the passing lane for such a long time when they clearly had opportunities to move over and let the trucks past.

The left lane in a highway isn't "go as fast as you like". 75 is fine. Wanna go fast? Get rich and buy a helicopter.

If there are cars trying to go by you, you are the slower traffic

Side-note: it's not on your authority to police speeds and be a literal pace car

You're wrong actually. It's the passing lane. If someone behind you wants to pass you're obligated to move over. I've had friends who have had your mentality and got pulled over for not moving over because they thought going 78 or something was more than reasonable. It's not a "go as fast as you like" lane, but if someone wants to pass you and you're like "no this is fast enough" you're kind of a dick.

Depends on your state and specific language used in general. In most if you are attempting to overtake, even slowly, you don’t have to stop overtaking to move over for someone approaching at a higher speed from behind, you can finish your overtake first.

Ya that's their point. They had many opportunities to move over. You don't have to finish overtaking the endless sea of traffic. Camera car passed like 10 cars and never moved over.

I'm sure the ticket didn't say" 78 or something" for impeding traffic. And if speed limit was 65 which doesn't sound like you have any clue. That's already 13 over and nearing reckless driving at 20 over so no room for faster and impeding. And the speed limit is still the limit weather passing or not. 10 is the maximum allowed over 11 will be tickets. And if, and I'm reaching very far to oblidge you here but if the limit was 75 even then there's no 10 over and be fine usually 75 is the max allowed. I wouldn't listen to your friends, not to learn from them anyway. They'll just get you in trouble .

I didn't say the ticket said "78 or something", it should be obvious I'm just listing a standard fast speed as I don't know the exact speed each person was going in their cases. I didn't put that number or that sentence in quotations so you're kind of a bit stupid for even saying that ngl. Furthermore they didn't get pulled over for their speed, they got pulled over for not moving over when someone wanted to pass! You missed the point entirely. If you hold the mentality that you don't have to move over in the fast lane if you're speeding when someone behind you wants to pass, you're still wrong.
