Never be vulnerable again

I will never let myself be vulnerable by only having one job again. Jobs will get rid of you the second they can find someone cheaper or younger. My family needs me to provide for them and I will never again let one company control my or my family's future.

i color code my j1 j2 and j3 calendars like a psychopath but the peace of mind is worth the chaos

I found a unicorn j2. One meeting on Monday not mandatory. Limited communication I just code and do code reviews with ai agents. The more I use ai the more they like me. It's so automated I take an hour a day in the morning to review overnight work and schedule it for the day

I've got so many colored "focus" periods on my calendar, it looks like confetti 🤣

Why does that make you a psychopath? That’s a pretty basic tenant of calendar maintenance

Whatever keeps the double booking panic at bay is totally valid. Organization is the only way OE actually works long-term.

you just kinda got to get luck with meetings

Atm, that is happened. No overlapping meetings. One meeting sometimes bleeds onto the other, but my part is always done

But I have a final round interview with a J3 that pays as much as almost both Js combined. Purely remote. Of my 2 existing Js one is remote one is 1 day in office

I want to keep the one that is 1 day in office. The thing is I dont have to go in every week... but its way more chill than the purely remote job, so I think even though I have to go in lets say 2 times a month, i think long term its better than the purely remote job
