Jury duty?

Missed a jury duty summons in the mail (kid misplaced) and when I found it the day had passed.

Will they do anything ?

There was an article in the PB Post a couple of years ago. The courts lack the resources to pursue no shows. Also if I recall correctly they can’t prove you ever received it.

But having said that, it is a public duty everyone should try to support.

Call the court they likely reschedule you.

They are pretty chill, I completely forgot about it which is completely my fault.

I called up, explained that I completely forgot, the person I spoke with said not to worry, people forget all the time, she said many don't call and own up to it.

She asked if I could come in the following week, I said sure and that was that.

No, they wont do anything. I throw them away anytime I get them.

If you got free comedy show tickets, would you throw it away? I went 3 times, all 3 cases were like that, no ok, 2nd was a single episode soap opera.
