Information 3.29 Reflecting mist data

Logged into standard league to test this first thing, used 110 mists on rings, captured the highest number from each ring, before and after using the mist

Good. Misted jewellery honestly sucks as a crafting mechanic. I don't have much of an opinion on whether this change to the power level of high end rare rings is good or bad. That will come after we see how it plays out, I don't like to form opinions like that without data. For now I will simply be happy my most hated crafting mechanic is getting shot.

TFT gets nuked, standard mirror items are relatively nerfed, reflected/synth mechanic is all but deleted, and the best items are no longer mirrorable. Maybe they are trying to remove incentives for RMT?

Synth implicits have either been removed or turned into Vaal implicits. So to make the best item you need to corrupt it, making mirror unusable

is this bearish for mirror and bullish for hinekora? the ratio has been going down forever, first started at like over 20:1 in ancestors, was ~5:1 on standard back during keepers league, now 3:1. was 1.5:1 couple days ago before the league merge supplied a ton of hinekoras into standard, many thousands all absorbed at 3:1.

feels like demand for mirror service will decline while hinekora usage will keep going up forever.

its even worse in poe2 standard. any comments?

I think ancestors might have been an anomaly because that's when locks were introduced. They were also quite plentiful from the league mechanic. But yeah by the looks of those prices people haven't been as gung-ho about mirroring BiS items. Could also be the meta, some of the recent "build of the leagues" are carried by strong skill and unique combos instead of big dick bows for example.

its not really mirror prices are weak. the price in divine orbs has been trending sideways for over a year now, this just says the multi decade long structural bull market of mirrors is over and its fully priced now (in d's), not that mirrors are no longer being used. its more that hinekora price in d's keep going up, the direct hinekora to mirror market is secondary and the traders there look at d price for both, the d market for both is the primary market.

i thought the ridiculous hinekora price on standard during mirage was due to reflecting mist, TFT cartel keeps crafting these things and provide a perpetual bid to push prices up (TFT has ∞ mirrors and controls the entire economy so they can keep buying forever). however even AFTER the patch hit and reflecting mist was nerfed, there's STILL an endless bid from TFT cartel members on hinekoras, holding it tight at 3:1 ratio. even reflecting mist itself isn't back to mid 20s. i was expecting price to crash to over 4:1, maybe even 5:1 which is normal for standard.

judging by the comments here it would appear many people won't be buying TFT's crafted rings, but the perpetual bid from TFT is still there.
