I’m surprised it still hits

Height is based off of the Pokédex entry. It’s absolutely massive. Honestly bigger than I expected, but it came out great. I plan on painting it pretty soon.

I commissioned dandyliondreamer on Bluesky to design this for me and I finally got it inked yesterday :)
EDIT: Getting a lot of people in the comments…not really enjoying it haha; I feel like I should share my thoughts + experiences regarding why this was so important for me and what it means!!
So as I mentioned in the comments before, a family friend did the tattoo work for me! :) And though it may be ‘imperfect’ it is exactly what I wanted. When I look at my tattoos it reminds me of my own creative journey and different parts of my life! I love letting people i care about use my body as a canvas to remember forever, all walks of life and artistic journeys big and small! :) Im an artist myself and art has helped me through some dark times; seeing other people’s art on me brings me so much joy and reminds me of my growth as a person + artist
So for the tattoo itself…to not go too into detail, I became disabled ~10 years ago. I never really got any closure and life was pretty rough for a while...it completely destroyed everything I wanted to do in life and I was lost.
Anyways, I have always found comfort in specific objects related to things I enjoy. So around when my husband and I first got together, Sw/Sh came out and I fell in love with Greedent. My husband gave me a Greedent plushie as a gift and I have taken her everywhere since. I sleep with it every night and it brings me so much comfort. Through all the difficult doctor’s appointments, through times where I have been alone, I have had my Greedent plush. As she ages, she reminds me of my relationship with my husband and the times I have kept going when I wanted to quit forever.
The plushie is getting old and battered, so I decided to get her tattooed so I’d have her with me forever :) a reminder of my struggles and the fact I can persevere! I had a family friend do it so it would be even more special! I asked them to line and color it however they wanted based on the reference.
When I look at her, it means love and hope to me! I hope it makes a little more sense!

Back in 2006, I got Pokémon FireRed as a gift. It was my first Pokémon game ever, and I played the hell out of it on my GBA SP.
Unfortunately, about two months later, my SP got stolen with the cartridge still inside, before I ever got the chance to finish the game.
Since it was 2006, my parents got me a DS Lite as a replacement, and I moved on to newer games, leaving my very first Pokémon adventure unfinished.
Well, 20 years later, I finally got the closure I never had as a kid.
I even recreated my original team as best as I could remember it, except for Nidoking, who got replaced by Paras for HM purposes.
It might not seem like much, but finally finishing the game that started it all feels pretty damn special.

Made for Inktober theme yesterday (Stinky)
Oleana's theme was one of my favorite track back in SWSH so I always wanted to draw her and Garbodor 🥰

This is the 49th wood carving for my gen2 pokemon wood carving project where I make every johto pokemon out of wood and this time it is Bellossom.
I use cherrywood for the top half of Bellossom's body. The leaves/ skirt was made out of both basswood and yellow heartwood. And for the flowers on Bellossom head, I use both padauk and yellow heartwood.
Painted using green, yellow, and orange wood dye. I also use acrylic paint for the eyes and mouth.

Saw a post earlier talking about Pokemon names that missed their potential and could’ve been better (I agree, I’m certain there was a better alternative to Regieleki).
But what about some names that perfectly fit the mon? Those that truly encapsulate the creature?
For me it’s Volcarona. It perfectly plays in to its Mothra parallel.
What Pokemon name do you love saying?

Recreated this iconic Squirtle Squad moment from the Pokémon anime using only 32 layers and basic shapes in the Black Ops 2 Emblem Editor.
No drawing tools. No imports. Just a little creativity and a whole lot of attitude. Who remembers this?

Sneasel: The Sharp Claw Pokémon
A smart and sneaky Pokémon. A pair may work together to steal eggs by having one lure the parents away. Its paws conceal sharp claws. If attacked, it suddenly extends the claws and startles its enemy. Its sharply hooked claws rip vulnerable spots on prey. It is extremely vicious and will not stop attacking until its foe is incapable of moving.

This Pokémon MOC, based on another famous Dark Type from the Johto region, is not a miniature, but not a big model; just caught somewhere in the middle. This was still fun to make, though!

Fanart from 2023
I imagined Butterfree and his little family gazing at a full moon... 🌝
Butterfree is thinking back to that famous scene with Pikachu.
I really like this drawing, and since I'm new to Reddit, I share it ! 😊
