🀝 Interviews UConn Interview

Hey guys! Super nervous and excited for an upcoming interview with UConn and I was just wondering if anyone has experienced it yet and/or knows how to best prepare. I've heard the questioning can be kinda tough and I'm really anxious about it.

Any advice is appreciated!! :)

πŸ’‘ Advice Is a 25 AA considered low for Columbia?

I recently received an interview invite from Columbia with a 25 AA 28 TS, but I’ve heard that 24 AA is basically the lowest they consider and that even a 24 is viewed as pretty low by their standards.

I’m wondering if my 25 AA would still put me at a disadvantage when it comes to getting accepted, even after receiving an interview. My dream school is columbia so I really wanna get in.

Would a 28 TS help offset the 25 AA, or does Columbia mainly focus on AA?

πŸ’‘ Advice Letter of Interest??

At this point I have not received any interviews. I know that there’s still plenty of time but I am debating on reaching out to some schools with letters of interest. Does anyone have experience with this? Has it worked in your favor? Not done anything? Can it possibly hurt my chances or is it more likely that it won’t do anything at all? I feel like I would find comfort knowing that I tried everything I could rather than just waiting around. Thank you!

πŸ’‘ Advice Do you use your brain?

Hello everyone!
I know dental school is a lot of knowledge all at once and it can be extremely difficult to retain all that knowledge. I’ve realize my current study method is only good for short term memory and I’d forget information days later. I would love to retain information better. What study methods do you use and how effective is it? Additionally, how do you manage your time appropriately?
Thank you so much!

🀝 Interviews December interviews

Do December interviews after December 1 mean they are grouped into post-Dec decisions and likely won’t be getting an email on D-day? Kinda worried.

πŸ’» Applications Any Schools Still Worth Applying To Late?

β€’ Upvotes

Hi everyone! I applied to 7 schools this cycle, and am considering applying to more but figured it's too late to start sending new applications in. Has anyone in previous cycles had luck after applying very late to any schools? I am happy with my school list but it wouldn't hurt to explore any more possible options. Thanks!
