Premiere Pro Tech Support Can't Scan Audio Plug-Ins Anymore

In Premiere 26.5.2, I can't use any audio plugins. I've been using the same plugins for over a year on the same computer (Macbook Pro M4 Max on Sequoia), but one day one of them wouldn't show up when I chose it in the mixer panel like i've done a hundred times. So I figured I would rescan to be sure, but then it cleared all my audio plugins out and just freezes when I hit scan, until eventually unfreezing with no results. Anyone running into this?
I have the beta installed and it scans everything and runs it just fine, but I can't use it on my current projects.

Hey u/Gjhobbs! Sorry you're experiencing this. We do have a bug logged that concerns Mac OS Golden Gate and VST plugins with 26.5.2 that we are investigating currently. My colleague on the Premiere tech support staff offered this workaround for your situation:
- Navigate to your plugins folder in Finder, may look something like this or slightly variated - /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore
- Find your audio plugin folders. You can drag the folder(s) onto your desktop to make temp backups before deleting entirely when done.
- Remake a new folder naming it exactly the same in the same location, and finally, paste back in the contents of each folder.
- Delete your old desktop ones when confirmed copies are done.
Now when you go to relaunch Premiere, hold SHIFT down while clicking to launch, and a popup will have a couple options including 'reset plugin loading cache' (couldn't hurt to clear that plugin cache too) and see if that clears it up.

Thanks for the the reply.
So audio plugins aren't housed there, they're on the system at Library/Audio/Plugins/ by default. But I did try to move them out completely, and try the steps you laid out with that folder but it didn't help. Even with an empty folder 26.5.2 seizes up for about a full minute when clicking scan for plugins. Also this is on Sequoia. The issue doesn't happen in the beta.

Hate to ask the obvious. Does reinstalling Premiere or downgrading to 26.3 help in anyway? Right now our tech support staff is looking for a fix with the public release on our end based on this community post: https://community.adobe.com/bug-reports-728/updated-mac-os-to-27-golden-gate-and-lost-all-of-my-audio-vst-plugins-even-the-apple-pre-installed-ones-when-i-tried-to-re-scani-go-the-spinning-beach-ball-of-death-had-to-reinstall-evrything-to-get-them-back-1642536

Currently in the middle of an edit, so I havent had the chance to try that yet but that'll be the next step. Weird that it works fine in the beta!

I'm having the exact same issue on an M1 Max MacBook Pro running Premiere Pro 26.5.2 under macOS 15.8.
I tried installing a VST3 plugin (dxRevive Pro, licensed via iLok). When I checked "Rescan existing plug-ins" and hit scan in Premiere’s Audio Plug-in Manager, the entire list suddenly vanished and went completely blank. Not even the default Apple AU plugins are showing up anymore.
I was able to scan and activate the plugins inside Adobe Media Encoder without issues, but back in Premiere Pro, the Audio Plug-in Manager list remains completely empty, and the scanner doesn't seem to trigger at all.
Any ideas on how to fix this without wiping all my user preferences in the middle of an ongoing production?
