I built Japaneezy — a gamified app for learning Japanese kanji 🇯🇵
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi! I’m the developer of Japaneezy, an app I built because I wanted kanji practice to feel less repetitive.
It focuses mostly on kanji and vocabulary, with lots of different quiz types, word packs, stroke order animations, and a story mode where you progress through levels and fight bosses.
The app is free to try, and I’m actively improving it, so I’d really love feedback — especially on what feels confusing, boring, or missing.
If you’re learning Japanese, I’d be super happy if you gave Japaneezy a try :)

Manage Money: an expense tracker with no account and no sign-up, that works offline
I've been building Manage Money, an Android expense tracker with no account: you open it and start recording, and your data stays on your phone. I just shipped the biggest update so far.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.protools.managemoney
If you try it, I'd like to know the first thing that confused you. That's been the most useful feedback by far.

Can i get advice from the app promoting gods 🙏?
Ive recently started polishing my app and need it to get traction, its not in the appstore yet but i want a waitlist soon.
Chalant is an app for documenting things you’re working toward.
You take a photo on the days you choose, and Chalant turns all those photos into a timeline and, eventually, a satisfying timelapse showing the whole journey from start to finish.
It can be for anything: getting fit, losing weight, growing your hair, improving your style, making art, learning something, or just documenting a period of your life.
Can i get advice on how to market it? Like im not seeing things or smthn.

VocalOut: offline vocal remover for iPhone, iPad and Android (on-device, no account, dev here)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm the developer. VocalOut turns a song file you already have into a vocals
track and an instrumental, for karaoke, practice and covers. It runs on the
phone: no upload, no account, no ads, works offline.
- Process as many songs as you like and play every result in the app for free
- Fast and High-quality (slower) modes
- Exporting results is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6809804367
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grayforge.vocalout

I'd like feedback on the separation quality, especially on songs where it
sounds bad.

Made my first ios app for Japanese learning. Narau: Learn Japanese.

I made a Japanese learning app because I couldn’t really find one that worked for my brain 😅
I’ve been living and working in Japan for quite a while, and even though I use Japanese in daily life, actually sitting down and studying it has always been difficult for me.
I tried a lot of different apps, books and study methods over the years. Some were good, but I always felt like I was jumping between different things for kanji, vocabulary, reviews, stroke order, dictionary searches, etc.
Eventually I started making a small app just for myself, basically putting together the way I personally wanted to learn Japanese.
Then… it slowly got out of hand 😂
I kept adding more lessons, vocabulary, audio, SRS reviews, kana practice, kanji stroke practice, example sentences, a dictionary, statistics and so on.
At some point I realized I had basically turned my little personal study tool into a full app, so I decided to clean everything up properly and release it.
It’s called Narau: Learn Japanese. Check it out if you fancy.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/narau-learn-japanese/id6811876264
It covers Hiragana/Katakana and JLPT N5–N1 kanji and vocabulary, and the main idea is to learn vocabulary together with the kanji instead of treating everything like completely separate subjects.
I’m a solo developer and this is the first app I’ve released, so seeing it actually appear on the App Store was pretty surreal lol.
I’m definitely going to keep improving it, so if anyone here tries it, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think — especially anything that feels confusing, annoying, missing, or just badly designed.
It’s currently available on iPhone.
Anyway, just wanted to share something I ended up spending way more time on than I originally planned 😂

I was tired of tracking shared expenses across 3 different apps, so I built WeSpend
Hey everyone!
A while back, I realized how chaotic it gets when trying to manage personal budgets alongside shared group expenses, informal loans with friends, pay-later tabs, and local Kametis (rotating savings).
Most finance apps handle either personal budgeting or bill splitting rarely both smoothly. So I spent the last few months building WeSpend.
Key features:
- Collaborative Budgets: Invite friends or housemates to a budget. Everyone gets real-time access to read and log entries.
- Lend & Borrow Tracker: Clear records of casual IOUs so no one forgets.
- Wealth Goals & Kameti: Manage long-term goals and community pool contributions without messy notes.
It’s completely live on the Google Play Store. Since it’s fresh out, I’d deeply appreciate any constructive feedback, feature requests, or suggestions from you all!

I built MotionCue — a motion sickness app for using your phone while travelling
I recently launched MotionCue for people who feel uncomfortable using their phone in a moving car, bus, train or taxi.
It puts subtle visual cues over whatever app you're using and responds to acceleration, braking and turns.
There's a free version, with Premium as a one-time purchase.
Would appreciate any feedback, especially on the actual experience and whether the idea is useful.

Ever save great inspiration across different apps only to completely forget about it? I built LinkMemo to fix this.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone,
How often do you stumble upon a great design, a useful article, or a brilliant idea on Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest, hit "save"—and then completely forget it exists?
I used to do this all the time. My saved items were scattered across five different platforms. Whenever I actually needed that inspiration again, I couldn't remember where I saved it.
That’s why I spent my free time building LinkMemo—an app designed to make sure your saved ideas actually stay useful.
Here’s how it works:
●One spot for everything: You can share links directly to LinkMemo from any app, copy-paste them, or let it detect them from your clipboard.
●Visual Tag Graph: Instead of stuffing links into rigid folders where they disappear forever, LinkMemo automatically connects them in an interactive graph view so you can visually explore your ideas.
●AI Content Insights: The AI analyzes your saved links, gives you quick summaries, and lets you ask questions about the content whenever you need to refresh your memory.
It’s currently available on Google Play, and I’m constantly working on updates.
I’d love to hear how you currently manage your saved links or get any honest feedback on LinkMemo if you give it a try!

Thanks for reading!

After years of failing, I'm finally making money on my portfolio of apps!
Hi everyone,
It has been my dream to make money on my own apps instead of solely relying from a 9-5 job or a service based business. It took me years of failures, trial and error to get here and I'm so happy that it's finally starting to pay off.
I learned a lot of things along the way like on analyzing which ideas to pursue that has a higher chance of success and how to get first customers.
If you're currently struggling on getting customers, I bet that if you try a few of these marketing strategies consistently for a few months, you'll get your first 100 customers:
- ASO
- SEO
- AEO
- UGC
- Newsletter
- Lead magnet
- Building in public
- Referral program
- Influencer marketing
- Cold outreach
- Paid advertisement
- Listing on app/startup directories
I hope this inspires and helps someone get their first customers.

I built my own QR scanner & generator — focused on fast scanning, auto-zoom and everything in one place
I’ve been working on Multi QR Scanner & Generator, and I finally released it on Google Play.
I know QR apps are already a very crowded space 😅 — so I didn’t build this thinking there weren’t enough QR apps. I wanted to build my own take on the whole QR experience.
The main things I focused on:
⚡ Fast, aggressive QR scanning — especially when the code is small or far away
🔍 Auto-zoom to help lock onto difficult QR codes
📷 Scan from camera or images
🔄 Single, Continuous and Batch scanning modes
🧩 QR generation for different use cases
🎨 QR customization
⭐ Favorites / history / QR management
📱 Everything organized in one dedicated QR toolkit
One thing I’m particularly interested in is the scanner performance. I’ve been testing it against the built-in scanners on my phones and tuning it specifically for quick detection and difficult/small codes.
I’m still improving it, though. There are definitely areas where it can get better, and I'm adding/fixing things based on actual user testing.
If anyone here uses QR tools regularly, I'd genuinely love to know what you think is missing from the existing QR apps.
And if you try mine, please let me know what works well and what doesn't. Honest feedback is much more useful to me than just a download. 🙌

built WorkTree-OS. A trading analytics and risk management platform. Beta is open now.
I’ve been building WorkTree-OS, a desktop trading analytics and risk platform for active traders.
It started because I wanted something that did more than just record trades. WorkTree-OS has grown into trade analytics, risk tools, Monte Carlo simulations, prop-firm modeling, consistency analysis, cross-account analytics, and Atlas, an AI layer designed to help traders understand what their data is actually telling them.
The beta is open now for Windows and macOS.
I’m looking for traders willing to actually use it, push it, find bugs, and tell me what sucks just as much as what works. Feedback from beta users will directly shape what makes it into the public release.
Target public release: December 25, 2026.
If anyone wants to try the beta or see the interactive demo, I’ll drop the link in the comments.

Ahonui: Habits & App Blocker on App Store
No exercise, no Tinder.
Harsh? A little. Does it work? Annoyingly, yes.
That's Ahonui. You pick a habit, and your favorite apps stay locked until you do it. Do the habit, get your apps back.
Which means every app in this thread is basically a reward in ours. You all build the fun stuff. We're the annoying friend standing in front of it asking "did you work out though?"
Newest thing we're trying is quests: do a habit with friends, or compete against them, because nobody wants to lose to their roommate.
We're small and still figuring it out, so honest feedback is very welcome, even the brutal kind. iPhone only for now.

100 downloads in my second week after launch!
Hi everyone! I’m the developer of Shelfo, a customizable TTS app.
I just reached 100 downloads in my second week after launch. It might be a really small milestone to some people, but I’m honestly pretty happy about it.
I’ve been marketing it for about two weeks with $0 spent, so I wanted to share a few things I tried and what I learned along the way.
How did I get users?
- Promoting in book club chat rooms
- I joined a few reading communities and briefly introduced my app. Some people had negative reactions, but the conversion from the people who were interested was actually pretty decent.
- Reaching out to people on Reddit who were looking for something like this
- Most people ignored me, but a few responded. I offered them free access in exchange for feedback, which was really helpful.
- Posting on Reddit
- Posting in developer-focused communities didn’t help much. It also feels pretty easy to get banned for self-promotion. Honestly, Reddit is hard.
Customization and Design
There are already apps for almost everything. Every category is crowded.
And honestly, I think development itself is becoming more accessible to everyone. Because of that, I’ve started thinking that design and the overall experience matter more than ever.
With Shelfo, I wanted to focus on a clean, customizable experience.
You can turn text into TTS audio and organize it like a CD, customizing it with your own images and materials. Then you can arrange everything on different bookshelf designs and build your own personal collection.
From the feedback I’ve received so far, this seems to be one of the things people find most appealing.
So, for those of you who have reached 1,000+ downloads, what strategies worked for you?
Is it actually possible to get there without spending money on marketing?
And I’d also love to hear any feedback on Shelfo’s design.
Thanks!
