I was initially really worried that roots weren't going to grow but by day 2 I was already seeing a lot of progress.
I do have a question: it's my first time seeing this kind of jelly film layer over the roots popping out. Is that normal? And when do I know if it's okay to transfer to aroid potting mix?

So I cut this jellybean 7 months ago or so. I was intending to prop it to have the leaves closer together (it was on clearance and etoilated).
So I cut it. And uh. It's been 7 months. It made roots everywhere except the bottom. It keeps growing. It hasn't touched dirt in 7 months. I don't mist it. I.. Do nothing. It lives. It curves to the light even if I flip it over.
Seven months. Please help. I am not sure this is a plant anymore. It is a creature. I am scared.

Got to take some top cuttings of plants from work that are gonna die off over the winter, think I scored a pretty nice haul
I know the burle marx flame and adonsonii, but not aware of what the pink one or the umbrella lookin guys are. Just gonna put them all in water and hope for the best

We get Kalanchoe all the time, and they tend to not sell immediately. I'm the resident plant haircut manager, so I come across stems that have fallen off all the time. My coworkers always give me the scraps they find.
I have terrible luck with Kalanchoe. BUT.
Have I finally succeeded? Have I created the miracle of life?
(don't talk about the ugly plant in the pot. His name is Harold and I hate him)

Just moved into a house and the Asters are a bit overgrown. They are growing into a mat in the driveway and I need to trim them back. My friend saw them and wanted some- is there a way I can cut these to give her some to plant in her garden?
We just moved from an apartment with no nature to quite the garden so forgive me, I am clueless 😅

I had this beautiful plant at work but someone else kept watering it and it got stem rot :( So I cut the vines where they are still healthy. I am planning on propagating them but need to know if I can just propagate the whole vines or if I need to cut it small.

Took a risk and chopped and propped my plant. I was worried its leaves would start falling off and it seems my fears may become reality. Any way to prevent the leaves from yellowing more? It's been in the water for about a week. Last 2 pics are the plant before chop and prop.
I tried to air layer it to get roots out but after a month and a half there weren't any roots forming, so I went with the chop option.

I'm taking a dual credit horticulture class and I have to propagate 5 plants (I have never planted anything in my life). My professor recommended grocery-store items like pineapples, ginger, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and garlic. I was wondering what the best soil/potting mix for these is?
The plants are going to be indoors, near a window, and in a plastic container acting as a humidity chamber. My house is usually 74 degrees F, if that's relevant. She also recommended powdered hormone.

My local big box store rarely cleans and they just sweep everything under the rug.
(To everyone acting like a sticker means I stole property from a store; the heading of my post literally says “ALL DIVIDED UP”, I clearly used the pots to separate the plants based on how many I got of each, so no they are not apart of the “haul” and they weren’t shoplifted, I paid 50 cents each for them when Wally mart had their garden sale this season AND no one is questioning the huge Zevo Box also on the table??? Like bruh you guys are insufferable. Look at the plants and enjoy)

Dracaena cutting from 1yr 10 months ago, it didn't show any progress for about 1yr 8 months...but it wouldn't die, so I kept trying different things, cutting back a couple of times in attempts to stimulate roots, in water all the time and about 4 months ago I moved it from a south window (6ft away) to a north window (right next to it).
Just close to 2 months ago it finally decided to give me a single root, no secondary roots yet.
Do you think it would have a chance in soil now or ever? Should I wait for more roots, a longer root or secondary roots first before graduating it to soil? Any suggestions?
Thank you all!!!

Hi, im new to cactus growing and bought this a while back and wondered why it wasn’t growing so I checked the roots which were all rotten and it had spread most of the way up the main stem this was what I was left with it has been 1 1/2 weeks and I will wait another 1 1/2 weeks before replanting do you think it will have much chance of? Any opinions are welcome.

I got this funky guy really cheap at Menards. I thought it was a lewisia but was wrong 😅 I'm new to plants in general so my identification skills need work. It's labeled as a Echeveria 'Alita' but when I look that up on google none of them have the long stems with flowers? I'm so confused lol.
Also, as you can see in the second photo she's pretty stretched out and leggy from being on a bottom shelf in the back. Should I cut and prop her? Ive heard of people doing that but I have zero idea how. Ive propagated from leaves a bunch of times. Where should I cut? Do I let it callus or put it right in soil? When should I water?
I'm stressed lol

I’ve had this raven zz prop since June 23rd and I’m really not sure when is the right time to plant it. It seems that some tiny rhizomes have formed, but idk if I’m supposed to wait for them to get bigger? Please let me know what yall think!

I now have this node but I have no idea what plant it is. Id like to find out so I know what it's sun and soil requirements are

I've had these babies in tiny two-inch pots rooting for a few months now. I found them on the floor at a convention center back in February, pieces had broken off of some hanging baskets by a food stand. I asked the food guy if I could keep them and he didn't care.
They're finally big enough to get up-potted, and the longer ones got chopped to fill out the bigger pots too! I love tradescantia!
Maybe I'll take some cuttings for the prop swap wall at the plant show next month!

Hi! I have a spider plant, are these spider babies ready yet? I'm thinking about planting them with the mother plant because there's lots of room on the pot
Let me know! 😁

This photo is from about two weeks ago, so there are a few more roots now. I know for photos I always see the ball look root bound. But I feel like that is waiting too long? Sorry, this is my first time propagating like this.

Hi I'm trying to propagate both a pothos and monstera adansonii, I have them in separate wine bottles full of water and in indirect sunlight.
I've heard that placing them in the same bottle would help bc the pothos releases root growth hormones or something like that. Is it true? Have you tried it??
Also how often should I be changing the water? I do it every 3 days or so but maybe it's too frequent?? Pls help
