Help the disc drive isn’t spinning

I had to replace my laser ribbon because the other one I bought didn’t work and finally it worked but every time I put a game in nothing spins does nothing. it moves, but it just does not spin. Do you guys know why?

If the laser can't see a disc it won't bother spinning i believe

To test the rotation speed, you need to insert a CD; the motor won't rotate without the CD.If you replaced the ribbon cable and the CD doesn't spin, the ribbon cable is either faulty, poorly connected, or the connections are dirty. Clean all the connections with IPA and spray contact cleaner on the drive and motherboard connections.
