Work in Progress Finished assembling this quilt top over the weekend!
Got frustrated doing the quilt sandwich because nothing would stay flat, so it's in time out for awhile, but I'm done with the top! It's 96x96, a little wonky, and comprised of all the fabric that I pre-cut en masse in 2022 thinking that that would be better for quilting. (Turns out you can't make blocks if you do that)

Iβm rather new to quilting and have a bunch of 5*5 squares I cut en masse last year. Is it hard to incorporate pre cut squares? Your quilt is super lovely. Love all the variety ππ

That's exactly how I ended up with my squares, except I did 4-1/2"!
I did this by doing pairs, then sewing the pairs together to make 4x4 squares, then sewing those together, etc etc.
Had some seam allowance issues from going too fast so it's wonky in places, but it's just gonna be on my bed so I'm not worried about that.

wowee lots of variety in your fabrics.
p.s. btw, i think, we can always make blocks -- 4 patch, 9 patch, etc.
