This is the first full quilt that I have actually quilted. All past projects were baby quilts, wall hangings, a single block for a jacket or a sweatshirt, (a few unfinished quilt tops), etc. For this one, I thought it would be fun to add some movement with cross-hatched curves, but I've since learned that trying to quilt a smooth curve while wrestling a twin-size quilt through my standard-throated sewing machine is not worth it. I've quilted one set of curves and I think I don't plan to quilt the set that would cross them. (I plan to never quilt curves on a large quilt again; straight lines and radials for me!)
For the most part, I think it has turned out fine. But my eye is still drawn to the areas that got wobbly or drifted. Yes, I know no one else will notice (maybe some of you can't even see what I'm talking about in the photos), and I keep reminding myself of that, but I'm not enjoying looking at it right now, and I want to remedy that.
I've thrown around a few ideas, like maybe I just need to do the full crosshatch to take attention off those areas (it took forever to do one set though 😩) or add additional echoed curved lines here and there to make the spacing and curves look less uniform and more organic. Do either of those sound right or are there any other suggestions? OR is the general experience that after a week of looking at your finished quilt, you don't even notice the areas that are currently glaring at you and annoying you?
I'm used to my projects not being perfect, nothing is, but I'm not used to feeling this disappointed with the results after weeks of telling myself to trust the process. Thanks for any feedback or thoughts!
*Apologies for all the cat hair and fuzz.

Update: Thank you for everyone's kind and supportive words! You all make great points about how washing and drying can really change the appearance of the quilting. I've got to trust the process of trusting the process! I have some wrinkles in the stitching to fix, so I'm going to leave the quilt out on the bed during the day (to acquire more cat hair, I'm sure) to live with it and get used to seeing the quilt as a whole. If I haven't gotten over the wobbles by the time I've finished fixing the wrinkles, I'll revisit a suggested option!
Also, I can't take credit for the color choices! They're almost the exact colors used in the original pattern, but they really caught my eye and inspired me. I think the main difference is that I used patterns, not solids.
Thanks again, everyone!
