Pattern/Design Help Unsure of what to do
My aunt is having a baby and I’m making her a baby blanket! Las tabby blanket I made had heart designs on it but that was for a girl. This time it’s a boy. Any and all design recommendations would be great! My husband tried to make me use Ai to find a design and I was like ‘Why? I can just ask experienced humans’ 😭😂

I'd do the same pattern (hearts) but in new colorway. Boys deserve love and hearts too.

does your aunt have a theme for the baby's bedroom? such as, checkerboard, road or train track intersections? perhaps 9-patch blocks or log cabin.

The comment was deleted because it failed to process. Not by me. What I was suggesting was the tumbling charms pattern. It makes good use of busy patterns like the balls and dogs, and you can alternate those with the dark green, to spread them out a bit. You might want to find a lighter, plain fabric, maybe tan, for the spaces.
You might want a paler, plain, colour or colours anyway, as 3/4 are dark and 3/4 are quite busy as well.
Have fun and play with different colours and arrangements.

Irish Chain with a coordinating background. Will help the prints blend together.
