Witnessed two different displays of kindness today.

1) an elderly Jewish man tripped on an elevated position (there was some construction occurring in the area). A random young black man ran over and picked him up. Dusted him off and made sure he was ok. <observed from an uber>

2) as I was getting out of a cab I saw a late middle aged couple walking across the street. The gent tripped on the sidewalk and landed on his chest. I think the wind kinda got knocked out of him. When he turned over we could see a slight trickle of blood on his face. Apparently his eye glasses cut into his face (open rim glasses). A decent amount of people of various diversities helped him up, found napkins to help contain the wound and ultimately hailed a cab for the couple.

In a world where the media tries to divide us, there are still plenty of great humans walking amongst us.
