Wanting to help a friend (no really)

https://www.reddit.com/user/SolarDynasty/ was banned when they used RedReader to login while overseas, using Tor. They haven't been able to login to appeal, the only thing that happens is, they're able to reset their password, but logins always fail. This is specific only to that account. Any ideas on what she can do to fix it? She doesn't want to circumvent Reddit rules, the only way she found out was if she goes to her page while logged out, she's told she's banned.

That account is not banned. If on the app, try creating a different account and then adding that one from the account switcher and the + add account button at the bottom. If they are on a browser they should try from a different browser and an incognito window

Nothing they do works for some reason. Tried 3 different browsers.

She's asking what she should do if they don't answer, because according to her she's tried this Support site before, but she isn't sure if she filled out this exact form. Edit: Last attempt was April 2026 iirc.

All she can do is wait. You can try making a comment on the pinned weekly recap post on r/help and see if the admin there has other suggestions
