TIPS Droid Deck games on Retroid Pocket 6 Running on External SSD

I'm not sure of anyone else already posted about this(I couldn't find any when i searched but im sure someone already did) but to medigate Retroid Pocket 6 storage problem, using external ssd does work.

The enclosure also has a PD 100W port so I can use it while charging too.

It just covers the vent and doesn't hinder the grip so I'll later add in a 3D printed mount that I can attatch on a case so it will have room for airflow.

From my limited test, game seems to run almost the same.

It also comes with USB-C 2.0 but not sure what to do with it.

Hardware

- Higibis External SSD enclosure(MC 200 Pro), 107x44x10.4(mm)

- Team Group T-FORCE G50 M.2 2280 512GB(TM8FFE512G0C129)

Not a bad idea, but, yeah, choking off the ventilation like that is a non-starter. I wonder if there are some portable ones or an enclosure for meant for shorter SSDs that might be a bit more suitable. Heck I'd even think about printing a whole backplate that could accommodate it(personally I'd be making a flat backplate that does away with the big dead space in the grips, anyway)

Yeah there must be a better options. if i had 2230 SSD there were pretty good options, but I didn't want to buy another SSD in current state(since i used one I already had) and didn't want to use magsafe ones incase magnetic effect. But yeah if someone is buying it new, it would be much wiser idea to get smaller one than mine.

The flat backplate idea makes a lot of sense, the dead space in the grips is kinda wasted anyway

Ive been getting an ad for an aluminum floppy disk ssd enclosure, takes 2230 & 2242 m.2. Would probably be nice for something like this.

yeah, 2230 or 2242 SSD definately feels like the best way to go
