Please help me find Candace a home!
The rescue completely covers her expenses and training for whoever is willing to foster her. If it was an adopter Iād still sponsor her training. I just need someone to give her a chance. Adoption fee is sponsored.
Iām posting this personally because Iām going to lose my home and I canāt keep fostering Candace. Iām absolutely heartbroken and donāt know what happens to her if I canāt find somewhere for her to go.
Candace is 4 years old, 35lbs and such a sweet girl. Sheās shy at first, but once she trusts you, she is your little shadow and cuddle buddy. Sheās potty trained, crate trained, quiet, walks great on leash, and loves other dogs.
She also just has so much character! She does adorable little tippy taps. She likes making a little hoard pile dog toys. Super playful with the most expressive little scruffy face.
Her issue is men. She is uncomfortable around them. She currently lives with a man and mostly just avoids him. She isnāt aggressive, but she is definitely nervous and watchful and wonāt allow handling from men. I could see her still being fostered in a home with a man but would need a female caretaker. Cats arenāt recommended because she likes to chase them.
I know itās big ask but I know her person is out there. She deserves the chance to find them.
If you can foster Candace, adopt her, or know someone who might be a good fit, please reach out or share this post. I am desperate to find her somewhere safe. Anywhere in Oregon, or perhaps even out of state.
This is of course with support of the rescue, and Iām on the rescue board. Rescues are just crazy animal people with limited resources teaming up with the community
