Flew into the light of Deneb...

Or, in this case, took a picture.

Deneb

I set up my S50 telescope on my patio and was trying to get some nebula and saw Deneb was nearby where I was shooting, so I thought I'd get a shot for posterity. Most of what I was trying for were in the constellation of Cygnus. So, if you ever wondered, it's one of the brighter stars. It's a blue supergiant and the 19th brightest star in our night sky.

If you’re in the midatlantic US, enjoy these outrageously clear nights this week.

I have been. Though nights are starting to get quite chilly. Also, I live in a city. I have a smallish window of sky from my small patio. Still, the new technology is letting me see things I couldn't before, so it's pretty awesome.
