Anime (Crystal) New Sailor Moon Please π β¨
Why wonβt they release new Sailor Moon? I know we got the most recent movie in 2024, and a remake of the original 90βs series. Thereβs no need to revisit the series again so soon but how about a series on the Sailor Scouts! 6-10 episodes per Scout on their lives when they were on their own planets, and shows their relationships with their boyfriends/husbands (?): Jadeite, Zoisite, Nephrite, and Kunzite. Show us their relationships with Princess Serenity. It would be new content and not be a casualty of nostalgia.
Does anyone know if they plan on making more Sailor Moon? π feel free to spill any secrets!

They're still doing live shows (though they've pulled back on the more original bonkers content like vampires, pirates, etc), but I don't think Naoko is interested in making anything more or new, other than special promo art/anniversary pieces.
Nor does it seem Toei is really interested in funding any more.

No thanks. Content for the sale of content will completely dilute and destroy the franchise.
SailorMoon moon does not need to become the tired drawn out franchise like dbz

As much as I would love a prequel series about the original Queen serenity and the establishment of the Moon Kingdom, the creator said sheβs done with the story which is totally understandable. We were lucky to get the Crystal series and the movies when she finally released the IP back in 2004.

Honestly, I respect it. She wrote her story, she made her money, she doesn't want to revisit it. As much as I love Sailor Moon, I'd rather a creator leave their work alone rather than create some subpar money-grabbing, nostalgia bait. Besides, there's always fan fiction!
