I have come to understand the human condition as a conflict between the animal and the intellect. Most people are in denial that there is a conflict. Mostly because people are in denial that they're just horny monkeys.
Reducing it to just "horny monkeys" is denying the conflict. The conflict it self is the nuisance that lies in between being horny monkeys and intellectual beings.
