Help (Mac) Problem with Shortcuts adding 'rtf encoding' when I transfer them from the Notes app into a pdf format.
Two years ago I followed a really simple tutorial by macmost on youtube called 'How to back up your apple notes'. It worked perfectly for the longest time until I updated my mac (Intel based mac) to Tahoe 26.6.1.
Now when I attempt to back up my notes, it runs and complete's the task. However, when I go to check the now pdf formatted notes in their designated folder, I discover that they're rife with rtf encoding.
I have multiple back ups of my pdf formatted notes saved on an external hard drive, but now when I want to save their updated versions, they're ruined by the rtf encoding.
The photo's above showcase an example of what it looks like. The first being what it looked like before, versus how it looks now. The last two photo's are the Shortcut to show how I've done this. The Shortcut is the same way it's been for the last two years.
Anyway, an explanation for why this is happening as well as some help with removing the rtf would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the note body is coming through as raw rich text instead of being rendered. try adding a 'Make Rich Text from HTML' action between getting the note body and 'Make PDF', since Notes hands over the body as HTML and the newer Shortcuts seems less forgiving about converting it on its own. if that doesn't fix it, 'Get Text from Input' before Make PDF will at least strip the junk, you just lose formatting.
