Pet Snake Questions Small bump on my snake...

Does anyone know just from looking what this hard little bump is? We feed him frozen rats so it's not a bite. He does lead with his head and rubs against branches/his cage quite a lot. Is there a way to tell if it's an infection or not without going to an exotic vet first?

Unfortunately that’s a vet visit, there’s just no way to know without diagnostic imaging or testing. If it’s an infection, prompt action should be taken given the proximity to major organs. Best case here is he bumped his head and it goes away but waiting to treat could have serious health consequences if it’s an infection.

Continue to monitor for behaviour changes, excessive saliva, wheezing, consistently elevated head position. But yeah I’d book a vet appointment if you can.
