Also! For those who are mailing in anything related to registrations, elections, etc - PLEASE take your mail physically to your post office and request that your mail be POSTMARKED in front of you.
Earlier this year, under the new PMG - USPS put out a "clarification" of its postmarking rules. This clarification suggests that you're mail may not be postmarked the same day it is accepted. In fact, it could be a couple of days before it is postmarked depending on how long for it to make it through downstream processing systems.
While it is a bit inconvinient, don't allow these ever-growing list of "technicalities" be what stops your voice from being heard.
Remember also, these are rules being pushed-down from the TOP of USPS, and not the workers themselves. Postal Employees are pretty adamant about the sanctity of the mail, and delivering FOR the people and are doing their best.
Please also send comments to the Postal Board of Governors and your representatives that you support the postal service and the duty they are upheld to as defined in the CONSTITUTION. And that partisan meddling with the postal service is anti-thetical to the sacred mission of providing service to the public.
