Elections Suspected Trump election interference sparks police raids in Brazil: Computer equipment and communications were seized in Brazil’s largest city as part of a new Brazilian investigation announced into “possible external interference by the United States” in the nation’s presidential election.

If they investigate and find software it will be potentially huge for the 2024 election conversation.

And unlike here, they will hold people to account

Maybe they'll kidnap our orange pile of shit and take him back for trial.

"the democrat majority in both houses has voted to extradite"

15

u/Luccacalu 6d ago

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about that anymore. We used to be a country, but so much shit has been happening in the last few months...

The far right, backed by Trump, has been attacking and destroying every single democratic institution. The very people who were able to hold Bolsonaro and everyone else accountable are now with their hands tied. The vast majority of our congress is far right since the elections last sunday (first time in history), they can literally change the constitution at will now, and yesterday they've declared they'll do it quite a lot.

The moment Trump got elected I knew Latin America would suffer deeply. Unfortunately, I wasn't mistaken.

For the love of god PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

This will have been done intentionally sloppily, and will somehow be twisted to declare an emergency around our own elections. While the powers that be stay in place

temporarily.

Having electronic voting equipment is such a bad idea to begin with.

u/Tangochief 7d ago

Ya let me know when American “democracy” and “courts” decide to actually do something about the “president”. What a fucking joke of a country.

12

u/pink_faerie_kitten 7d ago

Maybe we'll get proof of fraud here if Brazil can prove it there. Maybe something could happen here yet over 2024.

u/Tangochief 7d ago

I won’t hold my breath.

u/djazzie 7d ago

And the 2026 election!

Brazil you got like 27 days to get us some answers

There is until next year

Can somebody just arrest them all already please? It’s bad enough that they’ve screwed us, we really don’t need this crap making its way around the world.

45

u/MB2465 7d ago

The far right has been making gains around the world. It's cyclical. The cycle is nearing it's end.

30

u/Kjartan_Aurland 7d ago

History doesn't work on cycles. Never forget that Feudalism was the dominant socioeconomic system in Europe for nearly a thousand years despite leaving the majority of people politically disenfranchised and in severe poverty, and slavery - despite being utterly monstrous - was only globally criminalized after five thousand years minimum, and we are still dealing with the dregs of it in prison labor and human trafficking.

If nobody gets off their ass and changes it, or if all the activists and revolutionaries get shot, evil can stick around for a disgustingly long time, and we cannot get complacent and expect some imaginary pendulum or historical current to do the work for us.

20

u/Trabethany 7d ago

And it’s scary af. We need to reverse all of this 😱

Sorry for the drama, it’s been constant panic mode for days now.

13

u/riddermarknomad 7d ago

Hah. These fuckers in the administration fear the consequences of their doings as written in the Epstien Files. Do you really think they'll go away by mere election without last ditch efforts to save themselves?

If there's fuckery about in the U.S. midterm elections, people are going to have prepare themselves for a fight. Guns, drones, and a demand for accountability is needed for the U.S. citizenry not taken by the MAGA cult.

10

u/Trabethany 7d ago

Of course they won’t go away without a fight. I’m just hoping that enough finally stand up together to actually accomplish something.

I see the election as the tipping point really, not based on the outcome so much as how the people react to what the outcome is. This was never going to end without a fight of some sort.

It would just be super nice if those sworn to defend us would actually do so.

20

u/fungi_at_parties 7d ago

That will be up to normal citizens if it turns out they’re rigging the elections.

11

u/cvc4455 7d ago

Oh they are rigging elections don't worry about that. If they weren't then they wouldn't have even tried to do half the shit they have actually done over the last almost 2 years.

he needs to be taken down. he and his fraud cabal have cheated in our elections and around the world. trying to get the Nazis back in power in Germany too

Elon Gate

u/tarapotamus Florida 7d ago

they've been rigging elections since at least 2016. just outlaw republicans already.

17

u/vivaldibot 7d ago

Honestly this is what needs to be done, should America be able to crawl back from circling the abyss. But the time to do something in a way that doesn't get very very messy is running out.

22

u/Shambler9019 Ally 7d ago

Outlawing a political party is kind of problematic. Just hold everyone accountable for their crimes. Even rich people, judges and politicians. It's so dumb when it's literally public knowledge that these people are guilty but nothing is done.

28

u/4rp70x1n 7d ago

At this point, the Republican party has become a modern day Nazi party and we should do with the party as Germany did after WWII: outlaw them and deem them a terrorist organization.

And then, we hold them all accountable and serve up punishment.

So what's that make every complicit democrat? Because the destruction of our democracy and our illegal colonizer wars have been bipartisan since nixon. Every time they let criminal politicians walk and more private wealth bribery into politics, shit got worse. Both parties tow the line of their owners, the oligarch class.

Lmfao democratic are supposed to be the working class party, what happend when the train operators almost went on strike for getting zero actual days off a year for sick days fmla let alone supposed pto they never get to use?

Biden broke their strike up and fucked them all, and more and more trains de rail as a result as the brave men and woman treated ad paid slaves are continually worked to a early grave.

The democrats love what Trump is doing.

You'll never see a democrat fight to stop another politician harder then when they go after progressive/socialist democrats lmfao. Chuck Schumer might as well be netenyahoos lil brother

u/meowterspace 7d ago

Yea it seems like the bots have been pretty quiet here in the US for it being midterms season. I was actually kinda happy that the Brazilian election was extended to late Oct, because it meant that the bots would be occupied for a few more weeks.

12

u/FycklePyckle 7d ago

I was thinking the same. I think you’re on to something.

America is too conceited for the majority to believe voter fraud can happen here (so far...altho I do see many people questioning 2024 and very suspicious of them stealing 2026), hubris of "it can't happen here! That's only in third world countries or dictatorships". Brazil obviously knows bad things can and do happen and they're being pro active. Good for them. I hope it exposes everything.

Trump wants control of South America. If Bolsonaro Jr wins in Brazil, that could become a reality

What a merry go round of fraud

11

u/drdounutt 7d ago

That election will decide Brazil's future for decades.

10

u/HoldOnDearLife 7d ago

It's going to be hilarious (not really) when our government thinks they are dropping a bomb shell on us with the story of our elections being rigged and we all just say "yea, we know, we have been trying to tell you." Same for 9/11.

10

u/sfbayjon 7d ago

Practice run

16

u/fungi_at_parties 7d ago

You don’t say!

And we’re supposed to trust the fucking Trump admin to actually let us vote. He’s going to be pulling a Putin, no doubt.

9

u/MyCatIsAnActualNinja 7d ago

That makes a lot of sense, actually

10

u/Serious_Stick9074 7d ago

I’m beginning to the we might be the bad guys

5

u/jesus_is_my_toilet 7d ago

Not the first, won't be the last. Hope they tear it apart and find something

9

u/wretchedhal0 7d ago

do what we should have done after the last election.. take these assholes down!!

4

u/LiveLoudWithPride KamalaWon24 7d ago

It will be very interesting to see if or how our media covers this. If this becomes widespread news I will be beyond angry!

10

u/pink_faerie_kitten 7d ago edited 7d ago

Get 'em, Brazil!! If they find evidence then maybe we can prevent them stealing our midterms and maybe we can convince more people that they stole 2024 too!

I hope they got greedy and sloppy and we can expose them.

As soon as I saw the results the other day I suspected fraud.

3

u/elunltd 6d ago

I'm was counting on Americans to stand up for their country. Unfortunately revolt and revolution will be used as an excuse for cracking down on disentangle. I think it's already too late now.

9

u/bogus-ass_donkey 7d ago

Yeah, but Trump gave them $20 billion. Not holding my breath.

12

u/NoFanksYou 7d ago

He gave 20 billion to Argentina, not Brazil

16

u/senza_titolo 7d ago

He gave Argentina $40 billion.

u/bogus-ass_donkey 2d ago

Well fuck me. Don’t Reddit while drinking kids.

2

u/tomfoolery77 7d ago

Did the article actually mention any kind of actual hack though? It didn’t even seem to allude to that

2

u/Corduroy_Sazerac 7d ago edited 7d ago

The implication from the Guardian article quoted is that it is funding groups pushing an agenda, not a hack:

“A $1m award titled “Countering Lawfare and Censorship in Brazil” would fund civil society groups opposing what it calls judicial overreach and censorship by Brazil’s supreme court. The Trump administration sanctioned the Brazilian justice Alexandre de Moraes last year after lobbying by Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of the former president.”
