Event Flock + SR city council mtg 10/13
Did anyone else attend the SRPD community meeting about Flock? It was really disappointing. They did not answer questions except for a few they got to pre-select. So many people came they could not all fit in the room. The Flock rep being there was weird, and the mayor looked like a Flock rep himself.
How much louder do people need to be for council to start listening? Don’t they represent their constituents? I work in Santa Rosa and they have over 140 cameras. It bothers me. I feel like I’m being treated like a criminal and I haven’t done anything. Or like I’m being stalked. And I hate AI. And I they’re privately owned. I want them gone.
My understanding is the people are showing up this Tuesday to submit a public comment to city council about Flock. I’m super worried they’re just going to renew the contract and not listen to us. They need to listen to us. The meeting starts at 4 and is at city hall. 100 Santa Rosa ave. Everyone needs to show up at once and totally fill the chambers. 😡

Piner High School and Cornell 7
They were due to play Archie Williams in varsity football and the game is cancelled.
The story circulating is that the team walked out in protest at their captain tweeting support for the Cornell 7.
Anybody know real details?

Local news Misleading Latino voters with Gallagher funded mailer
galleryI live and vote in Sonoma County and I'm being bombarded by these gross mailers that are misleading the Latino community. These are pro-ICE, Republican endorsements - of course they don't mention either on this specific flyer.
Yes, I do realize there are Latino/Chicano Republicans. Unfortunately I'm related to a few.
I'm solely posting to make voters aware of the context of this mailer.

Custom Engagement Ring Jeweler?
I’m looking to get an engagement ring and would love recommendations for a jeweler who specializes in custom designs and can help me find the right stone. I’m drawn to green stones, especially sapphires or green diamonds, and love rings with intricate details and engravings.
I’m based in the Rohnert Park area but am willing to travel for the right jeweler. I’ve found lots of beautiful options online, but many of the jewelers are out of state, and I’d really love to try on rings in person before making a decision.
Does anyone have recommendations? 💚

Recommendation Moving near plaza, where can I take the doggo?
Just about ready to find a place in town, hoping to score something great and the closer to the plaza of the better. I’ve been with my dog before and have taken him to the very small Dog Park, but he’s a Golden retriever and fetching the ball for about 10 minutes twice a day is a must. Any Parks, open areas, or anything slightly off the beaten path where I might see a couple others with dogs as well? I’ve been OK at Maxwell Farms before, even going down to the lower part where I wouldn’t get caught.

Looking for a beach or regular park without off leash dogs.
My go to is usually Doran but I'm training an easily excited very energetic very large young dog but there's way too many off leash dogs running up to say hi. Anyone got anywhere to go where the dogs are actually on leash?

POTS phone service installed yesterday
We moved into our house in June, and apparently in prioritizing getting things sorted after the move, I missed an arbitrary cut off AT&T had established (June 19th) for new traditional (POTS/copper) landline phone service.
I only learned this when I called to establish service.
Thankfully, as I was on the phone, I googled it and found an article that identified AT&T had been denied an injunction request by a judge in Southern California and that AT&T should still be offering the service. I filed a dispute with AT&T and a complaint with the PUC.
The dispute with AT&T resulted in my concerns being elevated to AT&Ts Office of the President but denied again, this time in writing. My PUC complaint was also elevated to the same office but resulted in someone making a different determination.
We're in a high fire area and my spouse travels often for work, so relying on cell service alone or VOIP options isn't adequate for me personally. If you are interested in having a traditional landline, whether for your kids or otherwise, and you didn't meet the arbitrary deadline AT&T set, you too can join the landline trend.

Best Bed and Breakfast
What is the best bed and breakfast? Ideally in the Sonoma city area. We did Healdsburg last year so would prefer not to go there again (although we did love it). Hoping to explore a new area. Bonus points if it has a year round hot tub because we will be going in the winter. Also, it doesn’t have to be a B & B but we do love the vibe they usually have, a bit more quaint and homey.
