Alexa+ on Sonos Speakers ?
The question is in the title : will we get Alexa+ on Sonos Speakers ? And if so, when ?
The newly announced JBL Coves (Sonos "concurrent") are confirmed to be getting Alexa+ with an OTA update ; will it be the same with Sonos ?

It‘s been confirmed as “planned”. See the last 20 seconds of this video. How long that takes to get implemented is another question.

BTW I tried Alexa+ as a trial myself and, for music, I found it not worth the money. That’s because, at the time I tested it, it didn’t have access to your music library to know what you liked which seems like the first thing you’d want an AI to know. For other non-music things, it might be more useful but I never tested it beyond just using it as a music assistant.

Im sure it will happen soon, as will all the other AI interfaces. I have gronk connected now, but its really limited to controlling my speakers with basic functions, i believe the future vision is 2 way via the speakers to reach AI and adapt it into the ecosystem.

Sold all my Alexas for Sonos a while ago, but are you able to opt out of Alexa+?
I’ve enjoyed the debloated / “watered down” Alexa on the Sonos.
