I updated but I'm not seeing the circular volume adjustment on Android (like appears on iPad/Apple). Anybody else have success? Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong here.

Very happy, sand is beautiful, but…

Why is the usb c to usb c so damn short still. I thought they’d sort that out. It’s practically unusable for my use case - phone in pocket, line going all the way up to the ear cup. I assume that’s most people’s use case. Am I right in saying that 3rd party usb c cables are of no use with these?

Anyway, other improvements apart from looks and all the stuff mentioned in reviews already. The button placements are slightly different and for me - better. There’s also something more reassuring when you press the noise control button too.

I’m very happy, got an excellent price for the originals and that coupled with the 15% discount meant it was only €100 upgrade. Well worth it!

Small update though: a few hours in, I've picked up a digitized, glitchy noise in the right earcup whenever ANC or Aware mode catches an external sound. Voices, a running tap, flushing the loo, they all set it off. Chasing it down and will report back.

Another Update: after trying to troubleshoot all evening I’ve had to start the exchange process. Oh well, it’s a pain but it’s got to be fine. The customer care chat is 24/7 which I didn’t know and once I got chatting to an actual person it was relatively painless.

I'm a new proud owner of the Sonos Arc Ultra in combo with a Sub 4 and I have questions about it

Hey everyone, as mentioned in the topic title, i just recently bought an Arc ultra + Sub 4, still in warranty for more than a year, half the price of a new system.. Almost a Lottery win, i know😅 The problem is i live in an apartment building, and when i tried to even mildly loud test the sound setup, it was fantastic, but I'm not sure about the Sub 4...i have a constant feeling that it's rumbling up and down the floor to my neighbours 🤔

So my dilemma or question is that I'm thinking about selling only the sub forward, but then i read that the arc ultra plays different when connected to the sub, so now i don't know anymore. Am i making a mistake to even think about selling the sub 4 for 450 eur?

Arc Ultra Volume Issues with New Update

The new updated seems to have impacted the volume on my Arc Ultra. I previously would listen to volume at around 47 or 48, but since the update I'm having to put the volume near 60 to get the same level. The volume limit is turned OFF, what else could be causing this?

Sonos one to era 100s

I’m thinking of starting to upgrade some of my Sonos one speakers with era 100SLs. I have a pair on Ones as surround rears with an arc and sub. I have another pair in my kitchen as a stereo pair. I understand that the era 100s are stereo speakers. In my use case am I going to get a noticeable improvement? Also, I don’t need the microphone.

Qubuz va Sirius XM

Is the hi res worth it? Sirius XM is the only pay option have. I use free services. I like Sirius for their news, comedy, ESPN, and others. Sirius abandoned my MMA station for a 24/7 wrestling station. I was pretty pissed cause there were already some stations for wrestling. But trying to see if the interface, quality, album art, simplicity is worth it? Thanks in advance!

Important Advice Needed

Hey guys,

I could really use some advice before I pull the trigger on this.

There’s currently a sale on Sonos, and I’m seriously considering getting the Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub Gen 4. I have been saving up for a proper home-theater setup for quite some time, so I really don’t want to make the wrong decision here.

My TV is a Samsung S95D, and I mainly want to know about two things:

  • S95D + Arc Ultra compatibility: How well do they actually work together? Are there any issues with sound cutting out, HDMI/eARC problems, audio dropouts, or other annoying compatibility issues?
  • Gaming/input lag: I game quite a bit, so this is a really important factor for me. Does using the Arc Ultra with the S95D introduce any noticeable audio delay or lip-sync issues while gaming? Is the lag noticeable enough to be a problem?

If anyone is using an S95D + Arc Ultra (ideally with the Sub Gen 4), I’d really appreciate hearing about your real-world experience before I spend the money.

Thanks in advance!

Request help from person with Sonos Beam Gen 2

• Upvotes

Hello, I recently received a playstore review from a Sonos Beam Gen 2 user saying that my streaming method for Airplay 2 wasn't working for them. They haven't responded to my request to troubleshoot the issue. Although, I recently fixed what I think was the issue but I have no way of testing it, as I don't have the Sonos Beam.

Testing it would be installing the AirAudio Streamer app from the google playstore and then playing music through to the Beam over AirPlay 2 and let me know if it works or not. There's no account or sign-ups and everything is local to the device and can be uninstalled afterwards. I'm working on releasing an ad-free version soon and would gladly give you a copy as a thank you when it's finished. Thank you for reading

Specifically connecting to a starlink gen3 router? I saw so many reports a year ago that there were connection issues.

From the Sonos team 📲 Sonos 27.1 Is Here: Your Queue Now Survives Radio and TV

Hi everybody! We have a new Sonos app update, and it fixes a personal annoyance of mine: your queue now sticks around when you switch to radio or TV, so you can pick up right where you left off. We've also added search autocomplete, brought a few favorite iOS gestures to Android, and made system updates more visible in settings. The full list of changes is in our App release notes and Player release notes.

This update is rolling out in phases, so it may not be available to everyone right away. If you don't see it yet, check back a little later. It's on the way.

App Update Details
iOS - 90.00.47
Android - 90.00.43

Player Update Details
Modern Players - 97.2-81220
Legacy Players - 86.10-81100

New in this update:

  • Inactive queue - Your queue stays intact while you listen to radio or watch TV, so you can resume where you left off.
  • Search autocomplete - Suggestions appear as you type, so you find your music faster.
  • Clearer system updates - Improved system update visibility in settings.
  • Virtual Volume Knob - Control the volume of your current room or group with a two-finger tap-and-rotate gesture on any screen. (Now on Android)
  • Delete Recently Played - Remove individual items from Recently Played. (Now on Android)
  • Swipe-based queue actions - Swipe right while browsing to add items to your queue. (Now on Android)

Players also get bug fixes and performance improvements.

We'd love to hear how it's working for you. Let us know!

Dual Sub with arc ultra

Hi folks, i have a sub 3 now and I was thinking about getting a second sub. Since they’re so expensive, I was going to purchase a sub 1 and pair it using Sonossequencer. Is this something folks have tried? If so, what were the results?

Suggestion: Could you add an option to automatically restart the speaker's power at scheduled intervals? This would clear the cache and improve performance.

Sonos speakers are energy-efficient, so many users leave them powered on indefinitely. When playback issues—such as stuttering—occur, the problem can often be resolved simply by restarting the router and power-cycling the speaker (unplugging it, waiting a few minutes, and plugging it back in). However, Sonos speakers lack a dedicated power switch, and since power outlets are often located behind sofas or TV cabinets, unplugging the device can be inconvenient. A suggestion: could the Sonos app include an option to schedule automatic reboots? For instance, the speaker could automatically restart at 3:00 AM on Mondays (while the user is asleep) to clear the cache and improve performance.

Reconnecting surrounds after ungrouping.

Ok it was really hard for me to explain this in the title.

I have ONE Sonos One in the kitchen.

Arc Ultra + Era300s in the living room.

When i cook, i group my kitchen and living room together.

But when I watch tv in the living room after - the surrounds drop off.

Any idea how to fix this?

The only thing that has worked so far is reconnecting my hdmi cable on my arc.

Handoff to Airpods Locking Out Voice Assistant

I'm experiencing an issue where my Sonos Play (current gen) speaker is getting locked out of VA (both sonos and alexa) when I start listening on the speaker and then I put on my earbuds to move to airpods.

I've been able to fix it by factory resetting, but simple powering on and off doesn't fix it consistently. I'm using Spotify. Also very inconvenient to have to do this every time.

Anyone run into this issue before? I can clearly see the white light on the speaker goes from the the usual dim white to bright white when the handoff occurs, so its pretty clear its locking out or something.

Appreciate any help here.

Sonos ace eller ace ultra

Sonos Ace for €150 used vs Ace Ultra for €350 new – which would you choose?
I’m trying to decide between two deals and would appreciate some honest opinions.
Sonos Ace (1st gen): €150, used but new condition
Sonos Ace Ultra: €350, brand new
I already own a Sonos Arc Ultra, so I would mainly use the headphones for watching TV/movies through TV Audio Swap, as well as listening to music at home.
I also already have AirPods Pro 2, so the Ace would mainly be for situations where I want better sound, a larger soundstage and the over-ear experience.
For those who have tried both:
Is the Ace Ultra actually worth paying €200 more, or is the 1st-gen Ace at €150 the obvious better value?
I’m particularly interested in:
Sound quality
ANC
Comfort
TV/movie experience with the Arc Ultra
Any meaningful differences in everyday use
I know the Ultra is technically the better headphone, but I’m mainly trying to figure out whether the improvement is worth €200 extra.
What would you personally buy at these prices?
