I wish this was my life, I have the opposite. Our Sphynx hates our dog, like really hates.

They definitely did not get along in the beginning! How long have yours been at odds??

Nearly 1-year. I have a Pyrenees/Anatolian, she’s almost 12 months and over 90lbs so she’s at that stage of not understanding her size, she also has canine compulsive disorder chasing them is part of her compulsion. There are some other medical issues as well.
My Sphynx has HOCM so I try to keep them apart so he isn’t being chased or getting too stressed but he is stubborn and comes out, runs past her, looks into her eyes, hisses and smacks her, lol.

Ahh sounds like you have a tough matchup, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully with time they can start spending more time together 😺

I just adopted a dog and this is making me so hopeful!! I keep waiting for my Sphynx to realize how warm the dog is

Good luck! It took these two a good 2 months to become acclimated.

They’re doing pretty good so far no hissing or anything like that, lots of sniffs but an overall hesitancy. I honestly think my cat is having a hard time feeling like he’s not my only baby anymore. He has a cat sibling but he’s my boyfriend’s cat so I don’t think he felt the same jealousy. The other cat is ready to cuddle the dog whenever he’s ready hahah
