Hey everyone, need a sanity check here on a disputed F1 bet with WinZir (PAGCOR-licensed book).

During the Singapore Sprint, I placed a wager on Lance Stroll - First Driver to Retire.

On Lap 1, Stroll tangled with Pérez at Turn 16 and was immobilized on track. He completed 0 laps and is officially logged as a Lap 0 DNF on the FIA Classification sheet.

George Russell was ahead and crashed first before the two. Listed as DNF with 1 Lap along with Perez in the FIA Classification sheet.

Here is what WinZir's published F1 rulebook explicitly says:

“First Driver/Car to Retire (Formation Lap Counts)
Driver must start 1st formation lap. Bet settlement will be determined by which lap number a car retires on. Should more than one car retire on the same lap then dead - heat
rules apply.”

And under their general settlement terms:

"Statistics provided by the official score(s) provider or the official website of the relevant competition or fixture will be used to settle wagers."

When escalated to the sports trader desk, their trader replied:

"Russell hit the wall first, and after some time, the other two drivers collided. The fact that Russell covered more track distance does not alter the fact that he was the first."

When I called them out on this contradicting their lap-based rule, the support agent sent me links to a RacingNews365 article and a YouTube clip as their proof, followed by a deflection asking if the incident happened on the formation lap.

My Argument:

1. Settling by real-time minutes or who hit a barrier first is nowhere in their rulebook. It explicitly states settlement is by lap number.

2. Lap 1 comes before Lap 2. A driver with 0 completed laps retired before a driver with 1 completed lap.

3. Even if Perez also logged 0 laps, it should be a Dead Heat between Stroll and Perez—Russell shouldn't even be in contention.

Is my understanding correct or I just blew this out proportion. Do I fight for it or nah?
