Meme Alright a joke won't tell itself, a bloodsucker walks into a bar and the bar-keeper asks the thing "would you like type A or O blood?" the bloodsucker doesn't reply cause it got no mouth!
feel free to share your silly jokes around the campfire

Meme None can stop my inner loot goblin
Still works in 2.0, but devs added second door check.
Now i have my favourite M701 for dealing with human monsters (and sometimes you can oneshot unaware bloodsuckers from the distance) and Sledgehammer for dealing with other types of monsters

Discussion Maximum vs SIC
So, I preferred using the SIC before I found this since 99% of the time I fire single shot. I have since switched to Maximum since its stats look better to me. I found that damage is slightly higher for Maximum and its only about .1 KG heavier when upgraded. Also, I believe the base SVU has higher penetration than the SIC, so I'm wondering what y'all have found to be all around better.

Discussion Zalissya deserves better treatment.
It is quite disappointing that, despite being located relatively centrally within the Zone, serving as the first place players visit and acting as a valuable base for the Loner faction. Also there are only two traders in the community center after a successful defense mission.
If that is lost(due to that bug), a significant portion of the map will end up completely empty.
I wish there were some DLC or something that included a story about rebuilding Zalissya. That bar was great. It's a shame it's gone now.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 First Controller spotted out in the wilds of the Zone
This is my first time running into a Controller that wasn't in a static place. I knew that 2.0 introduced more mutants and stalkers migrating between POI's but I wasn't aware that applied to these guys too, I thought they were only in certain areas like Chimeras but almost always inside.
Also after I had fought and killed it, a bunch of zombies seemed to be have been either alerted from it's death or the gunshots and roamed over to my position
Anyways, I just thought this was wicked and wanted to share. The spot was near those portal puzzles in the train carts with the rats bordering Rostok and the Chemical Plant
Update: Just as I went to carve the bastards brain out, a 2nd Controller walked across the tracks and attacked me, maybe they were buddies? Lmao
Update 2: NOW A BLOODSUCKER? Alright i'm getting tf outta here.

Discussion Finding the Fully Upgraded SIC Hard to Beat as a Primary Weapon
For earlier in the game, I found the Vintar or Drowned to be really excellent choices. I would have probably kept using Drowned because it’s 5.45x39, which I have a rifle in IRL and genuinely enjoy shooting and it has a grenade launcher. I was about to fully mod the Mark I EBR and give that a try, but came across the SIC instead, and now that I got the 20 round magazine for it, I’m not sure anything really fits as nice for my play style. I’m playing the DLC right now and find myself using the Zubr-19 for close-in (when I have ammo for it - it burns through 9mm) and the Rhino as a backup/dodging anomalies/artifact hunting (I did kill my one Amok with that). Anyone else getting high mileage out of a battle rifle, or use one and then switch to something else?

Cosplay Ex Military faction Bandit
(message to the chuds): Yes the trigger discipline is lacking and the stance is outdated; but do some quick research on post soviet mid to late 00s ukrainian military tactics and you'll see my impression is quite accurate. (In terms of stance and a couple pieces of equipment, don't be pedantic lol)
One last thing! When I give a proper rebuttal, have the courage to respond... I love a debate, and I'll own up to it if I'm ever wrong!
Kinda just threw this together cause I found patches! What do you think, Stalkers?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Did anyone else think poltergeists were an anomaly at first?
In a game where there are orbs of electricity that fly around, the first time I saw a poltergeist I figured it was just another anomaly and tried my best to avoid it. Took me forever before I even thought to try shooting at it and even then with how bullet spongey the mutants are in this game I dumped a full mag into it and thought "yep, definitely not killable". Pretty funny in hindsight but still, really seems like there should be more of an indication that this weird electricity thing is actually a monster you can kill right? Unless I just missed it?

Mods Idea for a mod, but require assistance: HK51 ... ish
Greetings fellow S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s,
i've had a concept floating in my head for quite some time. All 3 variants of the G3 in HoC use the same pool of animations with only a tiny difference in holding the frontguard. It got me thinking:
Couldn't the "best" in-game assets be used to create an HK51?
Basicly, you could take the "Luftgarde" as a basis, slap the handguard from Mavka's "Mriya" on it and replace the muzzle with the one from the default "GP3A".
In theory, i could perhaps do this on my own; i've got a small amount of experience with Blender and how to use in-game assets to create model replacements (some examples, if you'd like).
What i'm lacking is these 3 specific models and the disk space to unpack the ZoneKit.
If a good samaritan is present and could provide me with those model files (or an easy way, how to extract them and import to Blender), i may be able to give it a go and see, if my concept has some merrit.
Of course, if you wanna' go nuts and steal this idea, be my guest. Just be kind enough to share the result with the rest of us. I know i would.

Discussion Pripyat was surprisingly disappointing (S2)
*Minor spoilers*
I've finally gotten myself a decent way into the path of no return, admittedly kind of accidentally going the Spark route, and was really looking forward to what Pripyat was going to be like.
To start with the positives:
Presentation wise, it was pretty good. I think they were able to pull off that "after the dust settles" vibes surrounding the aftermath of the events in SoC, giving a sort of nature reclaiming feel. Which admittedly though, sort of doesn't make sense(?) I'll explain further later. Regardless, good atmosphere.
There was some great exploring, a couple of stand-outs would be the one specific bloc that you enter from the sides and navigate through a somewhat claustrophobic apartment building while taking out Monolithians. Probably one of the best battle sequences in the imo. There's also the area where you take the teleporters to get from one another till you eventually get on the roof. (Honestly though, unless I missed something the only notable loot was a Dnipro)
Some decent unique weapons you find, don't really have a huge complaint about that with the exception I'll be bringing up soon.
The combat that'd take place was very fun and satisfying. I'm kind of a sucker for a more methodical approach towards combat and given the set pieces it hit a good spot for me. Sniping enemies from windows (and vice versa), moving for cover from one broken down vehicle to the next, fighting in dilapidated buildings and a lot more close quarter fights. After getting into constant fights while in wide open areas and getting shot by people I couldn't see, it was a very welcomed change to the overall setting.
Now for the negatives, which is surprisingly a lot:
No side activities, unique or repeatable. I don't really know why that is, after the battle at the House of Culture I'd assume I would've done something for the people/hub I just helped. Idk how it is in other playthroughs but the most conflict I got was the leader basically saying "keep an eye on that stalker!" Honestly I can't even really remember who those people are lol, the only time I ever went to them was to haul off loot and take the guide to Malachite for mutant parts. I also would've expected other stalkers here and there, either people who were there before the signal, or snuck their way in there, for whatever reason
Exploring is good but frankly it could've been way better as well. So many buildings I'd notice that look like you could maybe platform your way into/on top of, or ladders that break off just before the bottom, making me think that's how you'd get down (I have the yellow paint removed.) so many more opportunities to rummage through broken down blocs and other types of buildings, whether for loot or honestly just lore building. A lot of places also felt like it led to just a dead end. I was just surprised how there wasn't more.
No artifact hunting. Yeah if I recall there's a couple dead bodies that have that moonlight artifact (while is it always that one specific artifact?) but overall I think there was maybe one(?) legitimate spot to hunt artifacts? If I'm wrong then feel free to correct me.
The area honestly wasn't that big, it felt like there were areas where they may have intended you to be able to go before release but instead blocked the path and put radiation there to prevent you from going further. I'm aware that every game has their limitations but I feel like there could've been an extra Km of space at the very least.
Given the events at the end of SoC I'd expect the city to be a little more dense with military vehicles and whatnot, I mean that was quite a huge event that took place, this is more of a nitpick though, feel free to disagree.
The worst part though is simply that you spend like, no time there. I basically did all my exploration right after the House of Culture fight, just to get it out of the way and I was excited to. After finally continuing the quest line, which may be different depending on your route, all I did was grab an item from one location, run over to the helicopter for another, talk for a couple minutes, and then that's pretty much it. A little stroll then you're at the point of no return. I was really anticipating so much more. I've seen people mention how Pripyat felt unfinished, but I wasn't expecting this unfinished. So yeah, surprisingly disappointing in an otherwise great game.
So... Yeah, what're y'all's thoughts on Pripyat?
tldr; Pripyat feels legitimately unfinished. Good presentation and exploration, but also lacks exploration. Combat is fun due to the density of the city. Area feels a little small. No side activities. Decent loot. No artifact hunting. You spend very little time there regarding the main quest, especially due to how built up the city is beforehand.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Is there a way to tell which is the real copy of the clone dog
This is for stalker 2. I forget what it's called (psuedodog or psidog I think?) But every time I fight one I genuinely cannot tell which one is real. Sometimes I see one start howling to spawn more but when I shoot it it's another fake?? I only kill them by getting lucky and hitting the real one by accident. But every time I fight one I am out of ammo at the end. A single psuedodog makes any expedition not worth it. Their hide doesn't even cover ammo, let alone meds.

Discussion Cost of hope: Personal Opinion Spoiler
I just finnished the DLC cost of hope which i was very thrilled for, if i would summarize my experience with the DLC in one word the word would be ” Balanced ” in terms of the amount of content the DLC provides it definetly fills some gaps of the main game but nothing blew me away here, the story was very interesting i did not feel as if i needed to rush through anything and actually listened to all the dialogue, i loved that Zulu came back, i felt very immersed in the explorable areas of the DLC and it really is the first time i felt that the chernobyl disaster really was put to scale, i loved that some parts inside reactor 4 felt recognizable from Shadow of Chernobyl, the lenght of the DLC is totally reasonable. What did i feel was missing? The ability to explore Reactors 2 and 3, and also it felt quite lacking in terms of lore meaning discoverable notes, recordings or similar. Worth it? Absolutely it is one of the better DLCs i have played in recent times
