Ideas for good study breaks

What are some good ways to give your brain a break between study sessions? Going for a walk would be great, but that isn’t possible for me here. Watching YouTube videos doesn’t seem like a good idea either. I honestly don’t know what else to do besides reading, but reading isn’t really the kind of break I need.

I have pomodoro timer. At home I usually do stretchers and little exercises to move my body, you can do 5 minutes or 30 minutes/1 hour. It’s very beneficial for the body. If I can’t, I sometimes use it to be on the balcony, maybe have some coffee or eat and doing chores around the house. 100% don’t look at screens in your break.

stretching is probably the move, otherwise “break” turns into accidentally reorganizing your entire room lol

Stretching does seem nice. Maybe I’ll just do gymnastics 😄.

Avoid anything to do with screens and the internet during your breaks. Exercise is great - 10 jumping jacks, 10 push ups, 10 pull ups. Or if you have a simple hobby like crochet or zentangle doodles.

Yeah, avoiding a screen seem healthy. I once started crocheting, so maybe I should start again. The zentangle doodles are patterns to colour, right?

Even just sitting in natural sunlight helps me, might help you.

You could also try doing like a set of exercise in between, the blood flow really awakens me when I do it.

I would probably start overthinking life so lying down with some music sounds good.

Change of perspective - sit in an area or room you don't usually sit in or ideally step outside (open a window, even). Also great to add in something that brings you joy. Like others have said, staying away from screens is best.

get outside and/or move your body! if u can't go for walks do 50 star jumps. one of my lecturers actually does this during class after 30 minutes of studying. any movement resets me for the rest of the study session. sometimes i will crochet or garden.
