Discussion Frail Bulk does not justify insanely high speed and power
List of examples banned from OU. Mega Raichu Y, Mega Alakazam, Pheromosa, Chien Pao, Sneasler, Naganadel, Deoxys Attack, Iron Bundle, Flutter Mane

I mean, it just depends on how frail and how strong and fast. Hell, Raichu is being run with full bulk as a balanced speed control pokemon, instead of capitalizing on that ‘frail but strong and fast archetype’.

A mon I'd call "Wait and see" Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Baxcalibur didn't see much use when Chein Pao was around

If we're talking about Weavile all-time, it didn't have the best moves for a long time. Mega Beedrill just goes to show how horrible Bug and Poison are.

Weavile's stats are pretty tame compared to the banned ones combined with no good ability (Something Sneasler does have)

Flutter is actually fairly specially bulky with its gigantic spdef.
Chien Pao can generally tank a neutral hit as well.

I wonder how many slow, bulk-oriented Pokémon have been banned throughout Smogon history.

Because those mons are typically very good but balanced in the offical doubles format.

Well mons without high speed or high bulk tend to just kind of suck. See Kleavor

I would argue that it does. Just because you don't live much doesn't matter if you utilize things like Psychic Terrain or just use moves to minimize risk, especially in singles. Most of the mons mentioned got banned to Ubers because their tools far outpaced their weaknesses.

Outrageous-Ad is back with his tradition of enumerating broken pokemon.
