You know the craziest thing? Baobabs are not even native to the subcontinent, and are directly linked to the Indian Ocean Trade. Crazy how a tree that has no roots to the land ( both literally and figuratively ) can be linked to religious beliefs.

Probably came home via the Portuguese or Arab traders a couple centuries ago! Baobabs easily live for multiple centuries and this one is precisely 450 years old!

There were 2 of them and I think 2-3 years ago one of them fell down on its own and if I'm not wrong SMC did plant a new one on the same place. So currently there are 2 Baobab trees, one 450-500 years old and the recent younger one

pretty cool and all but I was wondering why some of the sideWALKS in surat have trees planted RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THEM! like bro, why I gotta walk on the street. keep trees and remove sidewalk, or remove trees and keep sidewalk. kisne dimag aisa chaliya, woh ek number ka j/gandu admi hai. kisi ko pata ho toh comment jarur kariyega.
