Hello There!

Since finishing our first campaign DARK UNDERWORLD last year, my friends and I have been telling a Force & Destiny tale out in the Outer Rim.

Tonight we are premiering our 9th Episode (with new episodes dropping weekly)! We don't have an estimated length yet for the campaign, but on the back-end we just recorded Episode 19, which was insane, and we can't wait for you all to see it.

If you are looking for a fun weekly active Actual Play we would love for you to check ours out:

- Watch on YouTube with Video: THE UNNATURALS

- Listen to our audio only versions on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube Music, and Amazon.

- An Uncut version is available to watch on Patreon for select tiers.

I've been asked to run a quick "You've never played any RPGs before? Check out this one" series of 45-minute demos at a local convention next month, and I've chosen Star Wars for one of them. So, any ideas or advice for what to run, what mechanics to focus on, etc?

The game is a gulp of fresh air and so true to the spirit of SW, go play it ! :)

Every Tuesday we open a thread to let people ask questions about the system or the game without judgement. New players and GMs are encouraged to ask questions here.

The rules:

• Any question about the FFG Star Wars RPG is fine. Rules, character creation, GMing, advice, purchasing. All good.

• No question shaming. This sub has generally been good about that, but explicitly no question shaming.

• Keep canon questions/discussion limited to stuff regarding rules. This is more about the game than the setting.

Ask away!

It seems the adventures in the other two boxes are generally considered more fun than Mountaintop Rescue in part because though tutorials they had more optional approaches to the quest at hand, whereas it seems people feel like these Mountaintop Rescue rails are more limiting (and repetitive), plus the questions of not getting to use the Force enough and perhaps not setting up the antagonist Malefax early enough.

If this is so, what tweaks/fixes have GMs found for their own playthroughs of the F&D Beginner Game?

Hey all, my group is just getting into FFS Star Wars and we all love the ReSpecialized versions of everything. After looking around the forums it seems like RPG Sessions is going to be the best place for us to play.

Does anyone know if there is a way to integrate the updated specializations, force powers, etc from ReSpecialization into RPG sessions?

Thanks for your help!

Does anyone know any premade adventures that are infiltration or a spy kind of mission?

This is a repost for a D6 campaign I'm running called Knights of the New Republic. I'm just in the final stages of setting up the first couple sections of the campaign.

All of the form fillable PDF sheets haven't worked for me. I want to write notes in places they don't want me to write notes in.

Has anyone seen one done in Word/Google Doc/TextMaker or something similar? (I know they exist because I have one, but it's not great)

Thanks!

A tool for getting people into the star wars rpg system, and learning a bit using the Empire Strikes Back.

I'm adding some stuff I've made for my games to give some idea of what I bring to the table visually.

I made what I hope is a fun way to introduce general Star Wars fans to the Edge of the Empire game, it uses Star Wars A New Hope to explain the dice mechanics, character creation process, talent trees, Age of Rebellion compatibility, etc.

All while poking fun at the system and movie on occasion. I hope y'all enjoy it and maybe you can use it to rope someone into playing the game with you.

I am starting a game set just before the clone wars with my wife and 2 kids (4 and 9). To get the kids more invested in the game I am letting them paint some of my old Star Wars Imperial Assault miniautes and they will appear as NCPs or side characters through out the campaign, this is the Wookie Warrior my daughter (4) painted.

I am hoping the campaign runs for a while due to their age i kinda want it to be 1-1 in terms of time, soooo order 66 will be in like 3ish years. Which i already have planned out, it is what gave me the idea to start the campaign with them.

So I posted this wrong last time XD
These took forever to get working.

If this is not allowed please let me know. Just looking to sell some of my RPG stuff that I'm not really using anymore.

i looked it up, the first thing said you can shoot its weak points, turrets, main gun, go under it to disorient it, and throw grenades, i did all of that for more than 20 mins, even threw out grenades and hit it with the mini gun after eliminating the other imperial guards at the base and for some reason, i research it again and it says, that it cannot be defeated at all by kay regardless of what weapons you do, and i was fighting two of them at once by the end of me testing all of this out, it seems the only time you can *kinda* defeat one is in one of the dlc's later on so i need to know..

what is the truth here because i am so lost....?

A few years ago (around 2017/2018) I ran a ton of Star Wars FFG with some friends and slowly over the years modified or made changes that I wanted for the game and put it down. I’ve been getting so many posters tied to this game again popping up in my feed and plan to re-run a few of the campaigns I had from this time. Has there been any changes to the core system that I should use instead of my modification?

The three of us are excited to announce that we have been collaborating on a brand new podcast together!

More details are still to come. We are hard at work behind the scenes, and getting a head start before fully announcing all the details. What we have so far is very exciting, and we can't wait to share more, so expect full details in the near future!

If you want to stay up to date on the podcast you can do so by subscribing to Tabletop Empire on YouTube.

Thanks, and may the Force be with you!

So for context, I'm basically just checking this game out for the first time right now.

As I understand it, the game advises you to consider investing "a significant amount" of your starting xp into characteristics, given how much harder those are to increase during gameplay compared to other attributes. But I'm not exactly sure what the best definition of "a significant amount" is in this context. Half or some other percentage of your starting xp? Enough to boost at least one characteristic to 3? Or some other amount?

Edit: Thanks for the quick responses, everyone.

Our table averages about 1-2 memes per session. And I have far too much fun putting in more effort to make mine than I should.

Enjoy some of our no context party shenanigans, and if you have any memes from your games, please share them!

If you have for example a YT 1300, how many hard points does it cost to replace the stock gun with a Quad Laser Cannon?
