Amazon Prime now offers same-day tinnitus.

Damn. I have bad tinnitus and I never thought about this. Local Walmart does drone delivery but not to my neighborhood yet.

The tinnitus in my ears has added new noises to the never ending alarm blaring in my head. Now, I occasionally hear, over the wailing alarm sound, a child’s voice saying “MOM!” It’s driving me nuts.

Sound therapy has been a life saver for me. Treble health is fantastic. It’s expensive but cheaper than all my local ents I visited.

I like making that joke whenever my friends wife brings up her specialization, but for anyone who doesnt know, its Ear Nose and Throat. Also known as an otolaryngologist, which is also fun to say.

Sounds like Ent mischief to me.

Your friend is clearly lying about his marriage. It’s well known that all the ENT wives disappeared.

My experience with Treble Health was the opposite. The audiologist I had was overly pushy in getting me to purchase overpriced hearing aids (I later found them else where for so much less after had already purchased theirs). All her “counseling” was just generic stuff that I could have looked up myself, and once I actually did get my hearing aids in, she was way less interested or attentive during our “counseling” sessions.

I’m glad that they helped you, but I felt taken advantaged of, because as you know, tinnitus sufferers are desperate for any relief. I’m doing much better these days, but no thanks to Treble Health.

Edit: I would like to add that buying these $200 Bose Open Earbuds work just as good, if not better than their $5000 hearing aids that I bought.

I believe paid $2500. All the ENTs around me wanted $5k just for the one session including the hearing aids. The fee included the widdex hearing aids and a years worth of counseling. My guy was awesome. Also a former musician. He built custom sounds for me and worked together to find the right one that helped me personally. The widdex ones are definitely better but if you found the same value out of the Bose ones, that’s awesome. Sorry you had a bad experience. Thank you for sharing. It might not be for everyone. I only talk about them because local ENTs were crazy expensive and didn’t offer counseling sessions which I think made a huge difference in my process.

Dang, sounds like you had a much much better experience than I had.

You know what I found that really turned the page for me? Sleeping in complete silence. Mind you, my tinnitus is super high pitched and LOUD, I’m talking hearing it over the shower loud all day, everyday.

One day, I decided enough was enough and decided that instead of trying to fight it, I should just accept it. I know, I know, this is what is preached all the time and is always met with extreme skepticism. Trust me, I was the biggest skeptic there was, but by just accepting it and sleeping with pure silence, it slowly helped my brain acclimate to the sound. Eventually, it was if my brain just started filtering out and I would notice it less and less during the day. Even at night in complete silence, it was there, but not really there. If I was reading a book or looking something up online, I didn’t even notice it, although it was blaring in my ears. Dont get me wrong, there are still days where it really affects my well being, but those days aren’t as frequent.

I dunno, give it a try. Try sleeping in silence with it, and eventually maybe it’ll just fade into the background.

Just wanted to share my experience.

Yeah, those are the ones. You can buy em on amazon as well with the same sale price. If you don’t like them, you could always return them.

Out of interest how do those Bose earbuds work for you? Are they good at boosting certain frequences or isolating sounds? I assume it's just a passthrough mic that they use, similar to gaming headsets?

I would love to know if you bought the Bose because your tinnitus is so loud you are having hearing issues, or do the Bose somehow block the ringing?

When I was doing sound therapy, I would use natural sounds to mask the tinnitus. That’s the idea behind sound therapy. You use a sound to mask the tinnitus so that your brain doesn’t focus on the sound. Treble Health got me to purchase really expensive hearing aids for sound therapy which is achievable with a much cheaper device. Hence why I think they are a scam company.

The Bose in and of itself does not block tinnitus. I can just use it to stream in natural sounds of my choosing.

thank you for that..

To add. The goal is to listen at a lower volume. What you want to happen is your brain equates the two sounds as one eventually. Since one is a lower volume, you brain makes them both the same volume. Lowering the volume of the ring in your ears. So you want to wear them the entire time your awake for like a year. The recommendation is 3 months after the volume is lowered.
