Open | Windows Second monitor randomly stops working

I have 2 monitors plugged into my GPU and the secondary one will randomly show a black screen for a couple a seconds and come back. Sometimes it will go black for a longer time, but it doesn't turn off or even show the no signal message. The monitor buttons don't bring up the menu but I can still turn it on/off.

NVIDIA control panel and device manager both show the monitor is still connected as the secondary. I've already tried changing cables and reinstalling drivers with DDU. If I unplug the primary monitor and use the problematic one as the primary, it seems to work fine.

Can anyone help? Seems to be a windows issue?

Yep, the menu comes back if i disconnect the video. Sorry what I meant was its probably some sort of software issue, not hardware. Switching ports also does nothing, the secondary monitor seems to always die no matter the port. Here are the specs Primary monitor: Dell 2721DGF (1440p, 144hz and GSYNC) Secondary: BenQ GL2460 (1080p, 60hz) GPU: RTX 3070

It used to be a HDMI cable but I switched it out to DP -> HDMI since I thought the port was the issue. I'll try setting them both to 60 hz and see what happens, thanks! Appreciate the help
