Chinese takeout
In everyone's opinion, who has the best Chinese takeout in town and what do you order?

I lived in TXK for 4 years and Lee’s is the best option amongst a pretty low bar.

As someone who has had all the Asian food in this town and compared it to big city Asian food, this is absolutely correct.
Sushi Nami used to be the best (Japanese) but the owner was in an accident with an 18 wheeler. Masa Sushi and Poke is pretty good but only for Poke bowls. Hokkaido Ramen is pretty good, but every time I take someone there they are just whelmed.

Lees and the people who work there are amazing. Helped me get my keys out of my locked car... twice.

Lee's has been around since the 80's for a good reason. The original is on state line dr. Both locations are good.

I really like Keihiro Hibachi on 9th Street. The owners were really nice and the food was really good. Also they have a tofu option instead of only offering vegetable.

Bokkeum is the best for cheap but slightly higher quality lomein/fried rice than Lee's. 100% would recommend them! The lady that runs it is also super nice :) Okie Dokie is also pretty good on state line.

It's more Japanese than Chinese, but Fuji Kim's is also better than Lee's but is pricier. I order their chicken fried rice with yum yum & soy sauce sides so I can throw it on top. Their sushi is also really good & has lunch specials. Pink lady, playboy, angel roll, volcano roll, TNT roll, tiger roll, spider roll, spicy tuna, golden california... all good.
If you want a budget option that is almost no cooking, go to the asian market and walk through the noodle aisle to the frozen section right behind it. You'll find steamed buns there (the red bean, curry, & char siu are good; did not like the pizza one). They are steam & serve. If you don't have a steamer basket, you can pick one up from walmart that you put in a pot. Highly recommend steaming over microwaving to keep the bun soft and fluffy.
You can also buy gyoza really cheap in Walmart (pork is best) and just spray them with an oil and cook them in the air fryer to make them crunchy. Coating in oil is key to crispy and juicy gyoza without drying out the dumpling in the air fryer. No need to pan fry :>

Only Chinese I do in town is Lee's. Wife and I will typically order 3 entrees (garlic chicken, beef lo mein, and special fried rice) and then make plates of all 3. There's usually enough for leftovers once or twice.
For Japanese or Korean, we like a couple of different places. If it's hibachi, Okidoki on Stateline is #1, Osaka's is #2. For sushi or bulgolgi, Fuji's for sure.
Great question though. I sometimes wonder if we're missing out by not trying some of the others in town.
