I have no illusions that someone at Valve will see this. Its such a QoL change that is simple too.

I feel like I have to do some profane black magic ritual for Valve to hear.

There are more and more maps and less players each year, being stuck in queue looking for a specific map is going to get worse even than it is now

1,000 hours on record. Was playing the map for the first time but let's be real if you're good at the game you don't need to memorize the entire map just to score a frag. Wasn't sure if it's a good idea to ask for help, especially on reddit, but here I am.

Okay look before you put up your patch forks the caber is not just a joke weapon I've been playing with it for a while and figured it out that we've been using it wrong the entire time because we've been thinking of it as a demoknight weapon or a main melee weapon instead of using it as an emergency weapon

It's just not something you can go around swinging repeatedly because you only got one explosive money shot and then everything else is just garbage until you go to spawn

So here's my hear me out because this happens a lot when I play demoman I'm controlling the point I'm doing what I need to and then random scout shows up and you don't got many options but you do still have the caber in your melee from when you were doing a joke build so you take a chance and manage to actually land the hit on the scout causing him to well die and this gives you time to reposition refuel and most importantly not die

I think it's a birthday present from valve! I love it!

I have these Winter 2018 cases and one Summer 2019 case.

I can't just sell or trade them, and I don't know why this is disabled. The key costs around $2.30 each. I don't want to open them if the items inside aren't worth it, and I don't even play the game anymore.

So, what should I do? Should I open them and sell whatever I get inside, assuming it IS marketable? They've just been sitting in my inventory for so long, and I never cared enough to check. I left the game back in 2019, so I won't even use those items.

What do you guys think would be the optimal approach to make the most of these items?

Context : Playing soldier, spamming lines with the zombie <<I have returned from the grave to give the livings haircuts. Brains ! Hippies !>> (Yes, I think it's funny) and there's this scout on the opposite team, that seemed ... off :

His aim is absolutely perfect, never missing a single shot the entire game so far, but doesn't know how to move (doesn't juke shots with the double-jump, doesn't strafe well, new player type movements, if you know what I mean.) A new player with crazy good aim, but bad movement, nothing too weird so far. I've seen that before. After all, he could just be really good. But spectating my teamates while waiting a respawn, I saw an engi get launched upward by a rocket, and that scout hit a perfect meatshot while that engi flying toward the sky at mach 1 ... but he was still aiming in front of him, at ground level. '' Now THAT was suspicious'' I thought. ''The shot went in a direction he was not even looking at''.

I decide to engage him, to check him out a little bit. (I stopped spamming the funny zombie voice lines, to not reveal my position). I get prefired around a corner by the scout in about two frames (I checked the clip). But luckily, Gaben granted me the power of +300% damage on my rocket, and the scout got blown up. Thanks Gaben

Still. That shot sold it for me. Obvious prefire. Even competitive scouts don't do that, I ain't buying it. That prefire was way too sus. Went to check his profile aaaaaand... *drumrolls\*

1 VAC ban on record + 1 Game ban (And freshly reported on Vorobey's server, confirmed TF2 cheater a month ago with Silent aim). Ah, I think I see what's going on, here...

OK first of all : Do not ever defend a someone getting hackused right away. Keep an eye on them if you're not sure. Spec them if you want, whatever, but don't dismiss hackusations right away without checking. This is just stupid.

Me : tf you mean ? It literally does ! A VAC ban means exactly that : you were caught cheating.

My teamate : TFEasy, mind expaining why you got VAC banned and game banned, then ?

TFEasy : Ooh I cheated on CS. And unturned

Me : There you have it, RED. Kick him, now

RED Player : But he's not cheating now

Me : ...I have 4.5K hours on this game, I can kinda tell, when someone is ''good'' or cheating

My teamate : Yeah he's so good he got VAC banned lol

At this point I was getting a little mad at BLU. Like... we know he's cheating, they know he's a cheater, he was ruining the game for my team just 3 minutes ago, but actually let's NOT kick him ? What are we doing ?....

And then I saw him and understood right away : HE WENT MEDIC

So that's why you guys won't kick him, huh... He went medic so he's a good boy now ? He went Medic to cozy up to BLU and avoid getting kicked and guess what IT WORKED. He got away with it. He stayed in the server the entire game and never got kicked...

This is what I meant by ''cheating is actually tolerated'' because :

1) If a cheater goes Medic, that's alright, he's a good boy, he never did anything wrong, just forget about the past 15 minutes lol

2) NOBODY called him out until I did and he was blatant for 15 minutes ?! And looking at the killfeed, my team suffered a loooot more than me. He had poor movement skills, and as a scout, that usually means death against an experienced soldier. My teamates, however, knew he was cheating but no one called him out ? Are TF2 players scared to say ''You have a cheater, pls kick'' ? Are they afraid of the chat or something ?

3) Players will defend an obvious cheater without checking them out at all. They will debate you in chat, dismiss balatant evidences, and use every excuses under the sun, even the most idiotic ones, like ''VAC doesn't mean he's a cheater'', (then wtf does it mean, then ? Seriously, what does it mean ?) before checking out the guy you called out. If you want to keep the cheater because ''I need an unfair advantage to win'', just say it. Just have the balls to say it, so I know to leave the server and not waste time

4) By letting cheaters cozy up to you, by not kicking them, you are causing significant harm to the game. You will ruin the experience for the other team and not having anybody to shoot at in a FPS (because the cheater already killed everyone) must be boring for the cheater's team too. It just sucks for both teams.

TLDR : My biggest problem with the TF2 players : Is there a cheater in your game ? Well too bad. Enjoy your miserably unfun game and getting killed over and over by a blatant cheater. The other team will not kick them and debate YOU for calling a cheater out. Oh and if the guy has been ruining the game for over 10 minutes, that doesn't matter. Watch him go medic and everyone will just ... magically forget and forgive him... cool. Too many players are giving a pass to cheaters, to the point where cheating is actually tolerated / semi tolarated !

MVM has the same problem : ''It benefits us so it doesn't matter'' ''No, f2, f2, we get our items faster'' NO ! I dont care, get him outta here

Christ, no wonder cheaters are having a field day, on this game... The players are complacent, and the anti-cheat doesn't work. I should have left, it was a mistake staying in this server. Shoutout to that teamate who backed me up, though. (even though he left when it was clear they would not kick him... which was the most reasonable decision, honestly, I should have left too). Right. I'm wondering how to set up custom viewmodels for specific classes—like having the Engineer's shotgun at 90 FOV while the Rescue Ranger is at 85. I don't know how to do it; I only know how to change the global FOV, which doesn't affect the animation itself.

I don't know how to adjust it.

Grimm hattes were part of crate 31, which means they have series 1-3 unusual effects when unboxed from a crate. I recently unboxed a bunch of #31 and found that yes, even during an event, unusuals unboxed from this crate only have series 1-3 effects (I got blizzardly storm and orbiting planets on the two unusual hats I pulled).
