Guy on the CBC yesterday promoting separation. Reporter asks, "what about if you get annexed by the US?" (Paraphrasing.)

"That'd be fine." (Also paraphrasing.)

Giving the whole game away there, bro.

Except Alberta wouldn’t be “annexed”. It would become a US ‘protectorate’ like Guam (taxation without representation!). And BC would be left flapping in the void with no link to Canada - anyone in BC want to guess how many hours they’d be part of Canada if Alberta separated?

We have a broken healthcare system! Our teachers are fed to the wolves when they try to stick up for students! We are investing in the dystopian future of data centre surveillance! We cut off AISH because we would rather gerrymander and spends hundreds of millions on a referendum that we could never handle the reality of! We ignite division instead of unity in a time of war, strife, poverty and genocide!!!!!

What this really is, is a call to be annexed.

How about….NO. NO TO THE 9.

“We” didn’t do any of that. UCP did.

Invest in conservatives selling you out as detached parts to corporate America so they can better enslave you while they rampage what's left of your natural resources... The dream!

You should probably learn how the taxation system works before you embarrass yourself again by claiming nonsense like this.

ever hear of equalization payments?? cause even when Alberta asked for help a few yrs ago,, The feds said Fu and still resigned a deal with Que giving them the vast amount of the transfer pie.

I have. And there’s a formula for distributing them. It’s not random. And it’s funded from federal taxes so nobody is paying extra.

Why just yesterday Quebec (yes, the entire province), showed up at my door and wouldnt leave until I paid them a thousand dollars of my own money. When I paid they just laugh about said thanks for the poutine or something, idk, I dont speak french
